Oh no, a moron who is obsessed with the sexuality of others, has now focused his unsavory obsession upon me, and presented a poorly spelled assumption about my sexual orientation. How ever shall I endure? Without laughing?

    Hurraaay!!! Page THREE!!!

And here I am thinking you were talking to yourself, Garamet... turns out I've actually had Soma on ignore since before I left. Can anyone give me a good reason to turn on his virtual vocal cords again? I don't see any in this thread..
Wonder who else I choked to silence...

^Soma's never bothered me. Unlike the other Johnny One Notes around here, he's occasionally amusing.

Now, here's a question: If you have someone on Ignore, does it also prevent you from seeing their "likes"?

I ask because I've noticed the number of time Anc and I "like" the same post. So if I liked it first, can I laugh at him for being a copycat? And if he's already liked something and I like it afterward, will he announce that I'm "stalking" him? Or can he not see it either way?

Not that serious a question. It's Monday; I'm in work avoidance.

Quite a few people here are obsessed with Garamet's sexuality. Interestingly, it's often the same people who call her "granny," which raises some interesting questions about their family dynamics.

It was always painfully obvious that Castle wanted to tap that ass, and actually thought we didn't know.

    EDIT: Corrected "Tap that ass".

Nope, I can still see Soma's likes - he liked the last two posts on page 1 - or rather, post 58 and 60, so he must have said something himself in between ;)

But to laugh at someone for liking a post after you seems a bit.... petty, if you don't mind me saying it. I don't get the enmity between you and Anc; never noticed it in the past, but something might have happened, of course.

Talking about things that happen. I found my 'ignore-list':
    -Sokar
    -Soma
    -KIRK1ADMIN

I guess I can safely unignore Sokar now... :bergman:

I think you were away when Lanzman sold the board to the Fab Four, and Anc announced that one of his first orders of business was to "get rid of Dayton, garamet, and Castle." Because we're all the same, you see.

Our very own Community Organizer has taken a lot of heat for his micro-management, and if getting rid of certain posters is still part of his agenda, he's at least learned not to bruit it about the board. But he also made a Very Big Deal out of announcing that he was putting me on Ignore, because "all she posts is derp."

Now, setting aside the fact that 90% of our views - political, philosophical, transportational - are in complete accord (raising the question of whether he sees his own posts as also being "derp," or are they somehow sanctified because :hail: he is posting them?), the idea that a board owner/administrator could (or should) put posters on Ignore (something that wasn't possible before) created quite a stir. And bragging about it as if it's some sort of point of honor was the height of silliness and - in my view - negligence of duty.

Mine is not enmity; more like tough love. I've watched this kid grow from an emotionally flailing student to a skilled and honorable member of our armed forces who learned a lot and accomplished a lot in action overseas to a petty King of All He Surveys with a lot of great ideas, a great deal of promise, but that one nasty little petulant streak, a penchant for revealing way too much about his family in a place where every personal detail is prey to jackals (and maybe those family members don't want their lives discussed or their photos posted in a place where they're not even members), and a tendency to Know What's Best for Everybody that needs work before he proceeds on his career arc.

When he runs for Mayor of Seattle, he might need character references, or at least someone to scrub everything he's ever posted online.

The fact that he can't address me, can't even bear to read what I post to others, makes me wonder how that sort of behavior extends to his interactions in the real world. In the interim, he makes for an interesting case study.

    *Insert Predictable Volpone Stupidity here.*

Anc should not have garamet on ignore for one simple reason - how will he ban her for her DERP if he can't see the DERP?

As I said upthread, given the overlap in our respective points of view, he'd then have to ban himself.

You've forgotten already, haven't you? Donezepil not working? :(

Alternatively, evenflow will read the post just preceding his. Or he might have noticed that Face, like Dayton, earns very little of my attention.

Because it bothers you that I remember things when you can't? It's why the weak-brained among you keep harping on the "senility" meme. Simple projection.

You still miss marathon, don't you?

Observing other posters to the point that you assume someone would notice how much you interact with Dayton, or whether or not Ancalagon responds to any of your posts has nothing to do with memory. I just don't even know where to go with that. I really have no reference. Its like the guy at the class reunion that remembers every detail of your senior year, and you can't remember his name. That's not a poor memory, it's having a life, overwriting old memories with new ones.

Marathon? Heck yeah I miss him, but life rolls on. There are other people here I actually consider friends and engage with off the board who I'd miss more. Not sure where our going with it but please continue, this recent output has been illuminating to say the least. :techman:

Except the human brain doesn't actually overwrite old memories; it simply stores them as it acquires new ones. You've managed to avoid the "senility" meme; yours is "having a life," which you once used in pointing out that because I'd never been to Oklahoma, it was obvious I didn't have one.

You don't really know very much about my life because (A) I've learned the hard way not to share anything the jackals can turn into teh Drama, and because (B) you don't ask, you tell. Not as egregiously as Zombie and Archangel; you're a bit more subtle, just as in your substituting "life" for "senility."

So what is "a life" in RR terms? Does your terribly exciting life include RL social situations in which women are required to discuss their personal grooming habits or get dogpiled? Does your RL social discourse include people regularly telling you to DIAF? If that's your life, you may have it.

I respect your life choices. You have no interest in mine except in dismissing them because they don't fit your preconceived notions.

Part of my job description includes researching and retaining huge amounts of information before I can start to work. I'm fortunate that this is something I do well. If it bothers you, that's too bad.

Those of you who interact with me as real people are treated as real people. Those who act out various caricatures of "life" are treated like characters in a dystopian novel, denizens of Bedlam, or both.

Hmm, potential plot-line there. Note to self... :chris:

What I mean is that ever since he left you've been searching for a buddy who shares your need to play "let's pretend garamet isn't here" and giggle behind your hands like a couple of fifth-grade girls. You and your Corsican Twin used to tag after me in thread after thread playing that game. No one else seems to want to play. Face it, your buddy's transferred to a different school, and maybe it's past time you moved on to junior high.
