Damn, that was an impressive thread! 345 replies over more than two years. To shave, or not to shave, that is the question!
Actually, the answer was in the thread title. "Groom" can mean "shave," but the two are not mutually inclusive. Semantics, nothing more.
This thread is useful if, for no other reason, that it calls for me to now make a motion that "Fab Four " replace "Four Horsemen" as the name of the current Wordforge ownership group. Can I get a second?
I see, so you think shootER meant two dead guys, a no talent hack, and Ringo Star? There was a reason I asked the question, and not because I was unfamiliar with the Beatles' nick name.
Are we really expressing surprise that someone whose career involves finding, memorizing and synthesizing details ... is good at finding, memorizing and synthesizing details?
Chapman shot the wrong Beatle. A Mark David Chapman animated series, where every episode, he kills the wrong celebrity! Episode 1: he's hired to kill Courtney Love, and misses, and gets Lady Gaga. People don't know how to feel.
Except for the details are all complete and utter bullshit mixed with a cup of crazy and two heaping tablespoons of ego. A simple search shows I was responding to her up until two years ago when the bitterness and paranoia turned her into a bucket of snark that cares more about scoring imaginary points against her 'enemies' than in having an actual discussion. She keeps making up all the these different (and quite frankly creepy, seriously go reread her narrative of our interactions, then go run a search of 'garamet' by 'Ancalagon', I treated her nicer than most up until two years ago. That whole narrative is a creation of obsessed imagination.) reasons why I somehow have it out to get her, when the reality is that just like most of the board I've simply gotten tired of her bullshit. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ah, I'd forgotten about those guys. (See, 'flow? I do forget some things.) Gave this some thought, and I think maybe I have some extra space in the memory banks because, for instance, I have no interest in sports trivia. Mostly it's about numbers. Always have to look up dates. Can't read music, play chess well enough to beat the average 10-year-old, or do math beyond balancing a checkbook. So there's more room for storage. Yeah, even before the ODS epidemic, there was what NAHTMMM referred to in that dictionary/lexicon he created (can't find it now) as "garametric pressure." Something to the effect of "the disproportionate rage arising in conservatives every time garamet posts." Apparently it's contagious, because it's now infecting posters whose views are almost entirely in sync with mine, but "IT'S GARAMET SO IT MUST BE WRONG!!!11!" Fascinating phenomenon. Never encountered it anywhere else. He says, followed by the old K1A "You do my research for me" trick. Hey, 'flow? He does that fifth-grade girl thing almost as well as you do. There's your new sidekick.
