It says last post from the index page, but doesn't show any kind of preview.

Is there a way to go to first new post in a thread? That option seems to be missing. Would make things mighty tough to follow a fast moving thread with dozens of replies.

Edit: Did find out how to go to the last post in the thread. Click on the line below the posters name. So

Yeah, I was gonna suggest that. OldForge avs were 200x200, IIRC. Prolly just a setting somewhere in the admin panel.

Haven't figured that one out yet, but your post reminded me that we needed to activate the tagging feature. Now it's active for up to five tags per post.

It actually requires some css coding. I'd give it a try, but I'd likely blow up the board. But there are a few others here that have the chops for it, so it should get done.

You might need to log out and back in. You have the correct permissions.

Have you looked at the CSS for this site yet? I imagine it must be fairly extensive.

What the hell is tagging?

Promises were made.

Adding keywords to posts so that the search function can find them. Probably generate a tag cloud so we can see what's trending on the board. Shit like that.

How do you go to the first new post in a thread?

click the time stamp under the person's name.

At the top or bottom left, beside the page numbers, should be a button that says "Go to First Unread".

Or the little blue dot next to the thread name. That works too.

Doing that takes you to the very last post in a thread which is not necessarily the first new post in a read.

I have answered my question however and found out how to go to the first post in a thread.

Next to the thread title there is a little dot. Click on that little dot and it takes you to the first unread new post in a thread.

That should go on the list to change. Make it bigger so it's easier to click on.

Just click the thread title. It will automatically take you to the first new post.
