Far more than 10 people are murdered in a typical month in most major metropolitan cities, and the victims are usually some type of ethnic minority. But the gang-banger stabbed in a drug deal gone bad isn't as sexy as white teens at a suburban high school mowed down by an evil black rifle.

true, but you missed my point. To clarify, here is my point: obesity is a much, much more prevalent cause of death. Let's just say 1 in 10 people will die as a direct result of obesity in the US.
Now let's just say 1 in 100 people die from a gunshot wound. No math in the red room but we have way bigger problems than rare school shootings to address.
