Spelling, yeah--the whole point of an alphabet is to have straightforward phonetics--but grammar and pronunciation aren't big issues. As for grammar and usage, at least English doesn't have gender for nouns and 17 different forms for each verb in each tense. Sure, the two or three forms English generally has are too many, but it's a big step up from most languages. Most significant grammar difficulties, such as ambiguous modifiers, can be avoided with careful sentence construction. English grammar could benefit from some tinkering, but it doesn't need a liquid rectal invasion.

As for pronunciation, I don't see the problem. Accents aren't a big deal, and, to the extent there are any real pronunciation issues, they go back to the failure of spelling. If spelling were cleaned up, pronunciation issues beyond accent would largely fix themselves. There's no real problem with homophones; you can almost always tell from context what's meant, and if you can't, well, that's why you should appreciate puns and double entendre.

None currently. It was an old english thing. Most words that have different spellings but the same pronunciation had a different sound at some point in history. They sounded similar enough that over time people have erased the distinctions.

Correct usage, finally. Now see if you can grasp the concept of "you're" and how it differs.

Michelle Rodriguez was sent there for 60 days on a driving charge and was released in one because over LA County Jail over crowding. I wouldn't be surprised if Hilton's stay was as short as clearly the jail is needed for more hardened criminals.

Not that I'm defending Face, but "female", "prison" and "sex" are indeed words.

And they're words that go together very nicely. Like "peanut", "butter" and "jelly". Although "naked", "jelly" and "wrestling" are better.

I'm just saying we need to think this one through more thoroughly.

Reno wants us only to talk about diction and grammar.

I want to talk about females, prison, and sex. Possibly in union.

You decide who you like better.
