    Har de har.

First, I'm on record as saying McCain is likely to lose and, viewed strictly on the quality of his campaign, he deserves to.

Second, showing contempt for polling is an opinion that goes back far further with me than this particular election. They have a demonstrated history of error and many of them have demonstrated flaws in their assumptions. That's no more rationalizing to note that when the more right wing guy is behind than it was when I said so in years past when the more right wing guy was ahead.

Third, and most importantly, you'll have a real hard time making the charge of "desperation" stick with me since you know full well i can barely tolerate McCain, let alone am pining for him to win.

With all due respect, I think you are on safer ground - credibility wise - to go back to screwing with Kirk. I'm not losing any sleep over the Holy One....I'm just snickering at the passion he inspires among you guys. I actually kind of hope you are all correct - I hope he really is a "different" kind of guy and a transformative figure just because politics needs transforming so badly.

But I'm FAR too cynical at this point to believe it.

In the mean time, you provoke nothing but amusement from me if you delude yourself into believing I am "desperate" about anything having to do with this election.
