At this point, is there a difference between the Red Room and TNZ?

When I migrated here in 2015 I was told it was a much more fairly moderated board than TNZ. It seemed like the members were proud of this, and rightfully so. Now it seems this has changed. I see right leaning members being targeted for banishment by hostile moderators, and left leaning posters getting a pass to say whatever they wish. I don't see any difference between the RR and TNZ. Am I mistaken?

Those days have been gone for quite sometime. If you want a more free and open forum, you'll have to stick with social media.

I think the other thing that might be troubling for rightforge is that they simply aren't the majority they once were.

Look at the lot of us over two decades and a number of the hard right have drifted to center, while the center has likewise headed left. Those who've remained have entrenched some of their views, but even many of them have evolved their views on societal issues-even if only to reconcile them with a philosophy.

The pendulum can only swing so far in one direction before it comes back to center and swings the other way. I look at my FB friends and realize how many of them (the ones who think it's "cute" to post a cover photo of them pointing a weapon at my face) have drifted off over the years.

I've lived through Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II, but I've never experienced the level of Sheer Fucking Insanity that I've witnessed since January 2017.
