I'm betting he also didn't tip the Uber driver. (How do people not get that it's smart to tip well? I've had the staff at Waffle House run off a cop who was hassling me because they knew I tip well and mind my own fucking business.)

I used to live in Antioch - super conservative suburb here in Chicagoland. and where I lived, there wasn't a functioning kitchen (long story, the why is not important), so I ate most of my meals at the bar around the corner ... think it was called ... Choppers. Anyway, I go in, I order food and a drink, I eat quietly, I tip well, and I leave.

Now ..., just because I sat there quietly does not mean others didn't try to engage with me. It became apparent to the regulars soon enough that I was very liberal.

Never got thrown out or even turned away. If things got out of hand, it was the other party that was asked to leave.
