The billionaires talk about socialism to get the Republican base riled up, but what they're really up in arms about is a slightly more regulated market economy that would make it harder for them to exploit people, combined with a taxation system that would keep them extremely rich, just slightly less so.

Capitalism is the pathway to oligarchy and eventually fascism. It worked for several hundred years under a monarchy, but with capitalism, the king is the one with the most money.

Only under a resource or gift based economy can a democracy truly flourish.

Trump had fired Mark Esper, the previous Sec Def, just days after he was confirmed to have lost the election. Esper had previously stopped Trump from ordering federal DHS agents from opening fire on protesters.

The previous Sec Def, Jim Mattis, had accused Trump of being a threat to the US Constitution.

You can tell this is more than just the appearance of Nat Guard being problematic because it also bans giving equipment or intelligence to local law enforcement. No cooperation whatsoever.
