I wish Vince would have been involved in The X-Files relaunch, it probably would have been so much better.

I don’t know that they were the exact same earrings, but the ones Kim was wearing in her last scene in the car were the same style/shape as the ones her mom swiped at the store in the open.

Two episodes to go, and normally I'd say that they have a lot to wrap up...

...but I'll just binge Breaking Bad afterwards.

The Nebraska angle with Kim is interesting. I wonder if Jimmy actually will get a happy ending.

One episode to go until the midseason break, then six more starting on 11 July. :async:

Huh. I looked at epguides.com a while back and they only listed 8 episodes for this season. Most seasons have only been ten episodes, and I assumed the eight episode final season was because of COVID.

I ain't complaining about more episodes, though.

ALSO... I think I know why we don't hear about Kim in Breaking Bad:

Of course, I could be completely wrong. Vince Gilligan does like to subvert expectations, but I think I'm on the right track with my theory.

    Good episode.

I like how Lalo seeing the cockroach made him think of Saul, who he compared to a cockroach last season.

The candle flame whipping when the two threats arrived was a nice touch.

"Is this how these usually go?" :rotfl:

Probably one of the funniest lines of the entire series.

Oh, and the title of this episode was "Plan and Execution". :bergman:

That may be the first Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad episode where I called the whole plot less than halfway through the first act.

Still enjoyable as hell, though.

And, yet again, BCS is snubbed in the Cinematography and Editing Emmy nominations.

Since the season had to be split because of COVID and Odenkirk's heart attack, these final six episodes will be eligible next year but so far they haven't had any luck with nominations at all.

The cinematography for last night's was exceptional even for this show.

Wasn't sure whether to rate this post agree (because I agree with you) or mad (because the Emmys suck).

    I went with mad. :diacanu:

Also, the fear in Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn in this episode was palpable.

Just give them both the Emmys. Don't even bother with the charade of a contest.

I wonder if ABQPD will find those bodies and somehow link it to Jimmy.

    Lalo and Howard?

Doubtful, since before too much longer they'll be covered in the concrete floor of the lab.

And even though Hank and Gomez find "two bodies" in the burned-out lab in "Live Free or Die", the floor doesn't appear to have collapsed or been dug up. The two burned corpses are the guards that Walt killed when he went in the lab to free Jesse.

Yes. Howard didn't deserve any of what Kim and Jimmie did to him and, now, he'll always be remembered as a coke head who committed suicide.

I'm really looking forward to how they have the McGills/Goodmans process just what they've done.

I think we pretty much know how Saul will deal with it (embracing Saul completely), but Kim might not take it so well.

This was an emotional roller coaster of an episode. Any time I see Hector pissed off and Gus as cool as a cucumber it cracks me up. Mike trying to comfort Nacho's father and essentially failing was heartbreaking for both men because Nacho's father is right, at the end of the day, they're criminals who pretend to be good people and Mike ultimately knows that. At this point he pretty much has no other choice, but to follow Gus to the bitter end. Then we get Howard's reception which is also heartbreaking because Kim and Jimmy have to basically slander Howard's name to his widow's face and Kim doubles down on it, thus breaking her spirit. Then they split up and it brings us to the Saul we met in Breaking Bad. I was thinking at the end we'd see Walt and Jesee show up, but I guess they're saving that for later. I'm also guessing that this isn't the last we see of Kim because we still need to find out what happens to Gene in Nebraska.
