Phew. For a moment I thought you might make me get one of those "bowl cuts" that the Romulans are always portrayed as having. It's like [-]they[/-] we never developed hairstyling technology! Yes the empire is growing. 'course now you've got to help me kick faisent's ass!
I know, man oh, and whats up with the Genesis missile? Was it perfected or something? A planet made with one should blow up! fuckers must have never REALLY watched trek. Probably got the sparknotes or something
12 million and rising, i'm about to start expanding my number of planets over thew next week or so, so should hopefully be hitting the billion range inside a week if i can balance my trading correctly. btw, whats the red blocks underneath a world represent? i was wondering if i needed to be producing x% of organics to support a population, but can't find anything about it
hurm - one-way trade routes seem a bit screwy. i want to transfer ore from one of my planets to a goods station in the same sector, but i don't want to buy any goods - when i run it, it collects the ore, but doesn't sell it... anyone know what i'm cocking up?
I dunno, they do seem pretty dodgy sometimes. It always annoys me when I go trading and it promptly sells all my energy for me as well, because my ship doesn't need it apparently. I kinda screwed up the starting of this game, I got too engrossed in building up a couple of small planets when I should have been trading and upgrading. Ah well. Any alliances looking for members? A million or so people are looking to join.
you can change that in your global trading settings, although i find it useful to trade the energy as i get for free by realspacing most places.
not if you don't start using warp editors - if i was is in a conquering mood, i'd have had a crack at one of your planets i found whilst randomly warping the galaxy...
I only have one planet, and my ship is docked there for about 23 hrs and 30 mins of every day And its a nice ship
notes that down for future reference... seriously, get a warp editor - first thing i do now when i colonize someplace is to eradicate the warp links there, and add a one-way link to sector 0.
^(to nahtmmm) if you want the moolah quick, hull and engine upgrades are at you need - once your can trade 6 digits of cargo between an ore and goods station using 1 realspace move you can make over a billion a day...
When you are in the sector you wish to use it in, click on Devices and select warp editor. It's pretty self explanatory after that. Ecky: with all that warp point editing I hope you are creating detours around your system as well. For example if you are sector 622 and you remove the two way links to 621 and 623 if will be obvious to anyone in those systems that something is hidden next door. One good trick (since warp editors are so cheap anyway) is to then go into those neighbouring sectors and create warps that detour yours. ie create a two way warp point between 621 and 623. Someone paying attention will notice the jump, but someone just exploring will probably not realise there is a sector being skipped. [action=Bailey]checks[/action]
Dammit! I thought I had sector 1710 pretty well defended, but Cap'n Chewie pulverized my defenses and took over all over! And apparently I wasn't beefed up enough to retake the planets. Arrrrggghhh!!!!!!! Back to the drawing board. *sigh*
I'm sorry, Nautica. Fasient told me where you were, and your defenses were pretty light. Would you like a few million credits in "reparations"? I was, for some reason, under the impression that you had abandoned the system.
Han Solo didn't shoot first. Again. Apparently, though, I ended up with a price on my head. All paid off, though, in case someone gets ideas.
Well, apparently 20K fighters and another 20K Torps for the Sector, and another 10K of each per planet, is considered "pretty light" in some circles, Bailey. *sigh* Guess I won't make THAT mistake again. Sure. 3*1 Million per Genesis missile, plus 3*10 Million per base, plus another 3*1 Million for misc Goods/Ore/Organics/Colonist costs = 36 Million to get me sorta back where I was (since it doesn't take fighters/torps into account). In small, unmarked bills.
