*Medium Space* "Hey, how's the watching going?" *yawn* "Oh, I guess I fell asleep. Weird. Well, let's check the sensors and- HOLY CRAP!" "WHAT?!" "The sectors, they're completely wiped out." "Who? There's nobody alive with the firepower to do that!" "Clearly, there is. And that leaves two possibilities; Either a new enemy, or a very old one..." DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNN
Chewie (level 29ish) seems to have destroyed most of NAHTMMM's worlds (level 7-10ish), or possibly sold the information on his worlds. I bet he feels like a pretty tough guy, picking on someone who probably has a low enough tech level to be welcome in Federation space. Also, he probably spent more money on the attacks than there were credits on NAHTMMM's planets. If you ask me, he's pretty damn sure of himself for someone who is most likely in second place.
Well he has been continuously in the game, I've watched the number of turns used rise, I mean more back into the game actively competing with other players.
Captured more than destroyed. I didn't sell any information. Hey, some of his worlds had fifty-thousand fighters. Even with level 10 phasers on his side, it was still a near thing. I had more than one stalemate. Says the guys in third.
Excuse me, fifty MILLION fighters. Those worlds took two tries, since I only have twenty million fighters on my ship at any given time. . He DID have a few worlds with only 500k.
Oh, if the game is being judged by efficiency as well, I probably should have taken a screenshot of more than just the 36 trillion in pocket change I have.
The actions of Henry Morgan in 2935 and his destruction of five innocent planets will not be forgotten.
There was money to be made on their backs. They complied with my wishes, so their death was quick. A nice net profit too. Nearly a trillion credits after repair and resupply.
So where is your homeworld? It must be hidden quite well seeing how I haven't stumbled across it by now.
Considering that it's been visited by everyone but you, I believe that speaks more to your skill as an explorer than my skill in hiding it's location.
I propose that we try to get more people playing the game. I will be the first to admit that it will take the older, richer players, leaving the noobs alone until they can get on their feet, but right now there are only four major players in this galaxy. I will abide by this if everyone else agrees. Edit: If these terms are acceptable, I'd be more than happy to give each new player a substantial sum of credits to get them started. Edit #2: I propose the terms be as follows. All noobs will be off limits for me, Jim Kirk, Boss Hogg, and B'Etor until they have reached 12,000 turns used or 2 weeks in the game, whichever comes first. The only exception to this rule will be if they attack you. We reserve the right of retaliation, but the honor system will be in effect. You may not destroy more than 1/2 of their worlds known to you and their ship can't be attacked unless it's docked on a planet's surface. No more of this nonsense where a Level 30 player drives by and steamrolls a Level 10 player until the Level 10 player has spent the required number of turns or been in the game for at least two weeks.
I'll also kick in some money to newer players. It sounds like a fair notion to get the game alive again.
Volpone, if you ever wanted to get in the game, now's your chance. I'll give you at least two trillion credits.
I generally haven't attacked many people in this game, so I would agree to this. I agree that we need more people in this game, and I would be willing to give out some credits too, since it usually takes a while to build up when first starting off. This game needs more TKO and Shakes too.
