Don’t know and honestly don’t care. Every child should have healthcare. Period. End of statement. The fact that it would save the government money is irrelevant. Every child should have healthcare.
Every child should have free access to health care, including dental care. If that means I pay a few extra bucks in taxes or a billionaire has to pay a couple extra hundred thousand, too fucking bad.
can someone snip the 7 pages of UA back and forth? 7 pages of him adding no information other than UA don't like with no other support for the idea is a bit much. At least have an argument aside from UA says so. An argument we all knew was his because little kid suffering while they cannot get healthcare is something we all know brings libertarians and republicans joy.
The runaround he (and those like him) like to play is "if I put on a mask of dispassion, it's not evil". Cutting off all the wiggle room in the ring to suss that is what's the tedious journey.
This goes back to the old reason for nevber making anything better. Things suck right now because of the present healthcare system. Putting money into it would require us to make it better and improve it. The idea that we are just going to dump a whole shitload of kids onto a small system and never improve irt is a shit argument. The fact the present system sucks so we should never improve a system because it will never be perfect is the argument of republican idiots; The O2C argument makes absolutely no sense when you consider the reason medicaisd is bad is because we have had people fighting againast iot and trying to destroy it. Let uis make it better because the reality is the private healthcare industry is wasteful and breaks the backs of parents for the redistribution of wealth to the shareholders and executives of private healthcare while providing death panels and no guaranteed safety for families whos children get sick.
We all know this, but it really belongs in the violent room. (mariner voice) where did that thing go? (/end mariner voice)
Always the same old tactic with you. Allege a "bad" person once said it, therefore the argument is invalid and I am also "bad". This is not refuting or even responding to it. It is you admitting you HAVE no response.
Excusing the parents from their responsibilities rewards the parents . I don't know what you people think you have to gain by pretending you don't understand that.
Let's start with actually being a stable, gainfully employed couple who aren't already drowning in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, with no addictions or felony records.
I would argue that, much like public education, it's society's responsibility to provide health care for children. All children. It's an investment in the future. If you don't want to pay, just say so. Don't make it about personal responsibility.
What? No. I'm not claiming that single association in a vacuum. This country. USA. Have crime rates, prison populations, suicide rates, and homeless populations gone up or down since we got no fault divorce and expansive social welfare?
I flatly fucking disagree. I am only responsible for it when I have a hand in the decision. You chose to buy a car. Don't come to me with your hand out when you realize you can't afford the payments.
It's not the government's goddamn money. It's MINE. If you want to give yours away in some performative act of pious moral preening, have the fuck at it.
Giving kids health insurance is a "performative act of pious moral preening?" This isn't giving out Bibles to starving foreigners, dude. This is health insurance. It's something that quantifiably improves the lives of the recipients.
By explaining WHAT THEY GAIN. Money? Biscuits? Freedom from Youtube ads? WHAT? What TANGIBLE benefit do they gain? What reward is there? Their kid lived when it should have died, in your opinion. That's ALL. You want their kid to die to teach them a lesson. What KIND of CUNT thinks like that?
They gain relief from their responsibilities. Bailing you out, easing your burdens IS A REWARD. I don't want the kid to suffer or die. I want the parents to handle their business. Whatever fate befalls the child is THEIR doing.
Yes, because Rush's big fat mouth had the ear of people that tried this shit on for size. They always hurt innocent people trying to get the four or five cheats. And they don't give a fuck.
Maybe part of the point of human civilization is making life less burdensome for everyone. Humans aren't solitary apex predators, they're social animals. They work together to make their lives better. Hardship isn't virtuous. Living life on extra-difficult mode doesn't award you extra trophies when you die.
All this "Devil take the hindmost" bullshit propaganda comes from rich fuckwads who've never had to lift a finger. It's pathetic how they get the legions of UAs to eat it up.
It doesn’t make any difference either way. You just don’t give a fuck about anybody but yourself and are willing to shit on kids to save a few precious sheckles. Of course the irony is that it wouldn’t cost you any extra money unless you hit the lottery or actually reside in the upper tax brackets.
I am pretty sure UA does not make enough to have to pay taxes. It is not about saving a couple of pennies, it is about his edgelording attempt to say he hates all kids.
Health care isn't a car. It's something literally everyone needs. You pay taxes for education. There's literally no difference. If public education wasn't a thing and people were proposing it, I assume you'd be against it for the same reason you're against this proposal regarding health care. But you know damn well that taxes don't just go to things you want or that you need personally. This is the cost of living in a society. Eventually people like you are going to have to accept it or get the hell out.
I keep pointing out that Colorado lets you be a wilderness man without paying taxes, and he's fraidy scared to for some reason. I would think all he would need would be his brain, a Swiss army knife, and the shirt on his back, but apparently, he needs a fucking startup loan, dental implants, a stainless steel hip, 7 months in the gym to get into peak Arnold shape, and all new blood.
