I've done plenty of human rights work. I've done work for immigration and cultural charities. I've done pro bono work (know what pro bono means?). What have you done? You lot can mock all you like. The only people I consider comparable on here are others who have given serious time over to charity, those who have served their countries, and people like Async and Anc, who have used their vocations for learning and goodness (whether I agree with the ways they got to do it or not) are the only ones who are comparable or superior. There are people providing direct medical care, working at non-profits, ministering to those seeking answers from God. There are teachers and social workers, producers of creative content that enriches the lives of those who consume it. I won't make a list and therefore miss somebody, but if you paid any attention to the rest of us here, you'd know the list of people who work to make the world better was quite a bit longer than three Wordforgers.

Two lawyer friends told me lawyers HAVE TO do some pro bono work. It is part of the deal when they become a lawyer. In Canada, this is the case. Not sure about the UK.
