The EU agreed a €500 billion bailout fund last night which does indeed replicate the mistakes of the past decade. It's early yet, but this is not a good sign.

There's a difference, COVID doesn't require public support.

It maybe easier for us Yanks to get out from under Trump than for Brits to get out from under Brexit.

I am thinking the EU could use brexit to solve some of their problems with radical right wing people. You could have a big invite to all those people and then go all escape from the UK by trapping all the horrors of humanity on the island.

Very much more likely. The Scots want to rejoin the EU. Although Spain would try to make it difficult as they have their own problems with seperatism and don't want to create a precedent.
