Considering the number of reported rapes with nothing happening it seems that there had to be official pressure from the top to damp down on the situation. Federal officials should squeeze the top police officers until they find out who gave these marching orders.

The Fort Hood Shooter (Doctor Assan I believe is his name) had many reports filed against him by his fellow officers.
They recognized him as an unstable threat who proudly expressed his radical religious views on several occasions.
But The Army has a widespread "hands off" policy/double standard when it comes to diversity and equal opportunity and so forth. "Go along to get along" and all that. Needless to say, that worked out well.

The hilarity of it is The Army has a big campaign about "if something appears suspicious, report it."
Yeah, report it so we can ignore it.

Self serving statements by the obviously guilty after they've been caught should be taken with a huge fucking mountain of salt, not merely a grain. Why are you shocked when they have Jimmy Savile making Micheal Jackson look like a safe babysitter for decades? They pretty much delivered him children and thought nothing of the obvious allegations because he said he hated children.

When you shift blame for your own failure to the nebulous "PC Police," it's hard to refute the way it could be refuted if they tried to shift blame to another person. But besides that, they know there's a huge audience of social conservatives who will swallow their story hook, line and sinker-- and then help them trumpet it to the world -- because it fits with a narrative they want desperately to believe.

Or fear of offending the wrong people and jeopardizing their careers in a hyper-politicized world had a hand in it.

What other motivation could the Rotherham police have for not pursuing Pakistani men who systematically rape children? Laziness?

Talk about desperately wanting to believe, you don't even hesitate to invent a narrative that all these police and elected officials are just using political correctness as a scapegoat for incompetence. You won't even entertain the notion that Western culture is so heavily politicized that elected officials (white ones, in particular) are more worried about looking racist than looking incompetent, and will seriously consider not arresting minorities for fear of stirring racial tension.

That's why I brought up the Fort Hood doctor. The higher ranking officers refused to take any action against his blatant radicalism because anything negative in their records concerning minorities (racial, religious, whatever) is the kiss of death for their future employment. So they rolled their dice and took their chances and their fellow soldiers paid with their lives.

Much harder to believe, and all the more desperate if you do, is the idea that people would purposefully shy away from reporting known instances of abuse and rape. There is no policy or atmosphere of PC that favors not protecting the weakest members of society.

The UK Public Sector is the very last word in avoiding responsibility in any way, shape or form. The crocodiles of the Press will apply pressure, and a couple may get flung at them in the hope they'll stop at that, but most of those involved in this will keep their jobs, pensions and benefits.

The Labour Party turn blind eyes to all kinds of unsavoury things in Asian communities, mainly as they can rely on plenty of votes from that direction. I'd like to say most other parties wouldn't do the exact same, but cannot alas.
