Cheney still needs it to keep his internal organs... well, internal. Hillary might have some spare the way things are going for her, though.
Hardly. Dubya will be getting a lot of money to give really bad speeches to crowds of idiots next year.
Let's face it, if he were through some circumstance to be sent to Afghanistan now, he wouldn't be a ground pounder, rather he would be a fighter pilot, as that is what he historically was.
Er, no, what he was was a cokehead who dodged responsibility... That said, I'd love to see him up to his arse in sand.
It doesn't even piss me off how hypocritical he's being, it just pisses me off that he's GLAMORIZING the whole thing. Like it's a fun game and our troops are going to bring home the big trophy. He's so out of touch with reality.
I think to him it probably is. It's kind of like, you know, running a baseball team or clearing brush or working out. As a president, he's a really good brush-clearer.
how is national air guard service during vietnam a sign of patriotism thought guard and rotc were rich kids way of avoiding combat?
Except, of course, he's too old to fly a fighter, however, there's certain to be at least a couple of military folks his age over there now. Of course, his age doesn't prevent him taking a civilian-type job over there for Haliburton, or, here's a thought: He could start and run a charitable organization with the mission of helping to rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan. You know, like how Jimmy Carter (another President who was rather unpopular) started Habitat for Humanity after he got tossed out of office. In reality, he and OJ will probably scour the golf courses of the world together in their intense hunt for the real killers of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, with occassional forays to the club house to make sure that Osama's not hiding in the bar.
Yes, the hassles of running a country and the limits of his office have kept him in check somewhat. Just imagine the damage he could do, and the lives he could ruin, if he were unrestrained by such concerns.
