    Easiest way to dance around it, is give whatever big plot things she had to do to Luke and Billie Lord, when she absolutely has to appear, have her talk over vid-phone with deleted footage, and then kill her offscreen in the opening crawl of Episode 10.

    I hope that around the time IX is released, they tell us what the original plans for Leia's character were. I bet Disney's got doctors swarming all over Hamill to make sure he's able to complete the series.
