SHE HAS NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!

She can't win, she's been told she can't win, but she is in her own world of reality swirling and powered by her own ego and hubris. I, for one, look forward to the shrieking, po-flinging slap fight that will be the Democratic National Convention.

I may take a vacation day to watch the madness and implosion unfold :techman:

She should stay in. It's pretty much impossible for her to win, but it isn't over.

In sports, even if one team hopelessly leads another, they still finish the game.

John Edwards should have stayed in at least until Super Tuesday. If he had, he would have racked up a lot more delegates, and perhaps even won a state or two. And most of all, his presence on that day probably would have made the current race less close.

In a race of Obama vs. Clinton vs. McCain, McCain will almost certainly win.

Hope that makes Mrs. Clinton happy.

She's close enough that a couple of stumbles by Team Obama could get her in. She may also be able to make the case that, despite having less of the popular vote, she's won in the big states that will make the difference in the general election.

While I confess I love watching events unfold toward an inevitable smashup in the Democratic Party, in all honesty, I wouldn't quit at this point if I were her.

I didn't know that there were that many angry, man-hating, power-hungry megalomaniacal lesbians who married horny, Big Mac addicts registered to vote.

    Who'da thunk it?

Considering that she may be playing for 2012, that may in fact make her happy.

Well, yeah. It's definitely a "me or no Democrat" strategy she's got going.

The "I bring a lifetime of experience to the job, John McCain brings a lifetime of experience to the job, and Obama gave a speech in 2002" comment proved that.

    Good for her, says I.

Y'know, even if the democrats lose because of this I'll still have more respect for Hillary for not giving up and for pursuing what she wants.

I may not agree with her politically but at least she isn't a quitter. That brings her up a notch in my book.

What's funny is how--on both sides of the aisle--people complain that we're too rigidly locked into the "two party system," but when someone makes a move that threatens that system, they're denounced for betraying/letting down their party.

I'm thinking that, when push comes to shove, people will cling to their traditional party affiliations. The lesser of two evils, institutionalized.

Well, yes. As do the negative tactics.

Obama supporters like him largely because they don't like negative politics, so when they're used against him, they blame the user.

Yes, while McCain is currently campaigning for President, Hillary and Obama are still campaigning against each other and exhausting their campaign funds and the campaign funds of the Democratic Party. Come August, McCain will not have to do any work to tear down whomever the candidate is. Each of them is doing the work for him well ahead of time.

Good job Hillary, you go girl. See this thing through to the bitter end.

And then McCain will die from old age....Fred Thompson will magically appear, take the nomination and we'll have the best President since Reagan.

There's a three-party system in your world? Why not a Fred Thompson Party and a Ron Paul Party while you're at it? I mean, if we're talking fantasy worlds...

Again, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Even worse, you're responding to me as if you think you know what I am talking about, which you clearly don't.

Spare me your lack of comprehension, and go vex someone else.

Well, certain comments she's already made about herself, McCain and Obama essentially qualify as campaigning for McCain.

In a McCain/Obama matchup, they will almost certainly find their way into a political ad for McCain.
