Comey told him he was not 3 times and confirmed it in his opening statement. So, to the best of our knowledge, yours included, he is not under investigation.
Saw it pointed out elsewhere that Trump keeps accusing Comey of being a leaker AND a liar, which makes no logical sense. If Comey is truly a liar, then he hasn't really leaked anything. If he's really a leaker, that means he's not lying.
He wasn't under investigation at the time of his being fired. From that you can't claim that he's not under investigation now that Mueller has his investigation going. Comey said as much himself. To be honest, I didn't think whether Trump was under investigation or not was much of a big deal. It was more the obstruction of justice part.
It's not a big deal because he's not under a criminal investigation for collusion. And if you want to hang your hat on obstruction, good luck with that. Not even nut job Comey admitted that. This is exactly why the left isn't taken seriously, are out of touch with reality and with mainstream Americans .
So, you'll just assume Trump is under investigation for something that isn't a crime. You idiots are pretty entertaining but you'd be better served to keep an eye on Trump's agenda being continually implemented.
No, I won't. I'll wait for evidence from an investigatory body to be presented. Then it's up to the DOJ (and courts) to determine if a crime was committed. I also will not make the assumption that he is not now nor ever will be under investigation. Meanwhile I enjoy the entertainment from his train-wreck presidency and the forced contortions of his sycophants.
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/11/trump-mueller-special-counsel-239396 Proving, yet again, that Trump is a complete idiot he is now floating the idea of trying to fire Mueller in order to shut down the investigation. For a guy who claims to be innocent he sure acts like he is guilty.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40181708 Mueller has assembled a legal dream team including experts on financial crimes, organized crime, money laundering, and political corruption. Trump surrogates are already changing their tune and trying to cast doubt on Mueller as it seems they fear this universally acclaimed boy scout is digging deep into Trump's dealings.
This is a stupid story posted by Politico and than here by Dinner. Of course Trump's attorney is never going to announce that the President will or will not do something when faced with such a question. If Trump's attorney had said anything other than what he said he would have immediately been fired. George Stephanopoulos playing gotcha games by asking Trump's lawyer if Trump would fire Mueller is as retarded as when during the debates the moderator asked Trump if he would concede the race. Politico than running a clickbait headline, "Trump attorney won't rule out firing Mueller" is also retarded. Dinner not understanding the article is also retarded. No, Trump wasn't floating anything. George Stephanopoulous was the one floating the idea in the hopes of getting Trump's lawyer to say something spectacularly stupid about his client.
No, this is how trial balloons are sent up. Especially since Newt Gingrich, another Trump surrogate is saying similar things. They are testing the waters. Also the question in the debates was fair as Trump kept claiming if he lost it would be because it was stolen from him.
You can get mad all you want Dinner but the Politico headline: "Trump attorney won't rule out firing Mueller" does not match the story Politico wrote. Trump's attorney was asked if Trump would fire Mueller and the attorney wisely sidestepped the question.
Wrong. This is not a trial balloon. This is George Stephanopoulous trying to trick Trump's attorney into saying something stupid. A trial balloon is not when the side that hates you, in this case, ABC, George Stephanopoulous, and Politico, writes such a story. A trial balloon is when your side is the first to bring up a subject through surrogates who are connected to you but not connected to you. Like Newt Gingrich.
What part of other Trump surrogates are saying the same thing do you not understand? No, it is not just the lawyer Trump retains to file frivolous lawsuits saying it. They are all saying the same thing and using the same talking points yet we are supposed to believe there is no coordination? It must be nice where you live with nothing but rainbows and unicorn farts.
So what happens when Trump fires Mueller? Are there any Republicans left who care about the rule of law and the Constitution? Or should we just declare Trump dictator and get it over with?
Thank you for clarifying this. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said Monday he is wary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team because he can’t trust “somebody who can only hire Democrats,” adding that they are "bad people." “In this kind of environment, I don’t give the benefit of the doubt to somebody who can only hire Democrats, but claims that we ought to trust him,” Gingrich said on “CBS This Morning.” Gingrich called the people on Mueller’s team “bad people.” “These are bad people,” Gingrich said on “Good Morning America.” These are people who are going to be after Trump. He did not hire a single Republican in the first wave.” And from his buddy at newsmax: Ruddy: Trump Considering Firing Mueller, White House Doesn't Deny Claim
Technically, true. But then there's this: Would enough Republicans go along with that? Would firing Mueller be the long overdue wake-up call?
Actually, that's what SHOULD happen. Why on Earth should the person whose dealings are being investigated have any control over the investigator? Let Trump fire him, and then let Congress appoint him (or someone else).
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...h-of-39-states-threatens-future-u-s-elections Russia's election time hacking was both much worse and much more wide spread then previously believed.
So a bunch of top-flight lawyers, finance experts and criminologists are all Democrats? I thought all Dems were unemployed or low-paid nobodies wanting to suckle on the taxpayers' teats?
I didn't say there weren't trial balloons. Only that the Politico story is not a trial balloon. Trial balloons are not done for you by those who hate you. Politico hates Trump. They are not going to float a trial balloon for him. Dinner just didn't understand the article they wrote.
https://patribotics.blog/2017/06/13...omey-legally-taped-calls-meetings-with-trump/ OK, I haven't seen confirmation of this but if true, and it is a big if, then Comey is the freaking man. Allegedly, Comey legally recorded all contacts on his phone to aid in criminal investigations. He authorized the FBI to record every single conversation and possibly even let them hack his phone so that the microphone would always be recording. Maybe Trump should be worried that there might be tapes?
If this is true why was Comey acting like he was hoping there were tapes when asked about Trump's statement on tapes when he was testifying in front of the Senate? Why not release them all immediately if such things existed. One would think that such tapes would instantly end any of the he said - he said nonsense. I don't know. This story smells kinda fishy.
I agree thus my disclaimer. The source is not main stream nor has any main stream news outlets picked it up so that is a red flag.
Did you notice how all the links provided were on the exact same topic? Namely, how Trump is testing the water for firing the special investigator in order to obstruct justice.
