This is exactly why I don't rush out to buy new Apple products. My Xperia phone is touch screen, and I have never had and problems no matter where I hold my phone.
Good one Jobs, you fucking imbecile! "Just avoid holding it in that way." What kind of advice is that? The customer should be able to hold the phone as they would normally hold any other mobile phone. Surely that's not too much to ask from Apple, the smug, self-proclaimed customer-savvy organisation?
No question Apple has squandered a whole lot of trust and goodwill, not only with the 2 major bugs, but with the dumbass responses like Jobs' and by not releasing any news. I like AT&T (it's great where I live and work) and will get this phone. As an Apple guy since 1987, I can tell you if AT&T had Droid X or Evo4 I'd probably buy that instead. In getting so fucking big, Apple has forgotten it's roots and become Microsoft Jr.
Don't you mean congrats Steve Jobs on being a billionaire who has put iconic and much copied products on the market? Or not?
Apple wishes it could be Microsoft Junior. As big as it is, they gave up competing against microsoft long ago (despite the clamor otherwise) and have been focusing on the niche market of idiots.
^Apple is now the largest tech company in the world. In that sense they are the new Microsoft. Must be a lot of idiots in the world as Aaple sold almost 9 million iPhones in the 1st quarter of this year, and expect to sell 24 million or more this year. That doesn't even include the millions of iPods and ipads.
I have an ipod, and I wouldn't be opposed to an iphone. The truth is that Apple makes solid products. That said, please at least admit that the reason it's easy to joke about apple having an idiot fan base is that there are a tremendous amount of idiots using apple products.
