Cop: "We Only Kill Black People"

Speaking of which, my new job allows me to commute, so I take the trolley/bus and no longer put 30+ miles a day on my lease

I get off at my stop and there's a cop who is telling a black dude he can't smoke his blunt out in the open. Cop is pretty respectful even with the guy saying it's legal now (as far as I'm aware, open use isn't). But eventually, the guy puts it out and goes along his way as does the cop.

It's almost like people *don't* need to use excessive force and be dicks to do their job of protecting and serving!

Also, in four years of driving two MINI Coopers and the various trips between Acura dealerships for work, I've never been pulled over even once for Driving While Black(tm)

Yeah, I have seen that one at the trolley stations myself. Cops will point out alcohol is legal but that doesn't mean you can walk around with an open can of beer. The same goes for weed. They seem to be more concerned with just giving people a friendly verbal warning instead of tickets or arrests. As long as the guy complies and doesn't go all "fuck you, pig!" Then that is the end of it.

You are pretty lucky that you found a job which you can take the trolley to work for. They are finally getting around to expanding the blue line up the I5 corridor to UTC and UCSD but that has been 25 years in the making. Seriously, I was 16 when they voted to do that and they just started construction last year and it still won't go to Sorrento Valley (which is a major employment center) as originally planned.

What they really need is a trolley going up the I805 corridor and an east-west line going from Santee to La Jolla (along the 52). Both of those freeways are nightmares. Just completing the car pool lanes all the way down the 805 is supposed to take 40 years.

Put it this way, you don't want to hear a cop say "we only kill black people", any more than you want to hear your dentist say "take deep breaths, in, out, in, out...okay, rape time! *unzips fly*".

Sure, it might just be a joke, but it's goddamned badly timed.

There's nothing wrong with or physically threatening about being physically black. The problem arises when one is mentally black. Well, there's nothing wrong with that either so long as it's in the right environment.

This man is obviously being targeted solely for political reasons. Virtue-signaling this (i.e. *gasp* "Well I do declare! What a wildly inappropriate thing to be uttered") is an indirect way of implying you want to punish people who didn't break any rules.

He didn't embarrass Marietta, dude. Just because a cop's sense of humor embarrasses you (or more accurately counter-signals your politics), doesn't give you the right to judge this man's thoughts or strip him of dignity and livelihood. Starving families isn't going to rid the nation of your political enemies.

But hey! Liberals play by Alinsky's rulebook, right? One day (and perhaps soon!) the Left could regret agitating for censored speech and pressuring institutions to bend to their political demands. Very dangerous precedent, my progressive friend.

math doesn't lie. Blacks in a white neighborhood are statistically/realistically safer than the other way around. There are many factors involved in this, but the end result will always be the same.

as for IQ tests I've never claimed that blacks are any less (or more) intelligent than other races. Also skull shape means nothing since homo sapiens is the only game in town and we all have the same cranial capacity. But feel free to claim I said things I never said but you can't reign your imagination in and hear what you want to hear, yet don't hear what you should hear.

It's every individual's right to protect their kids. My mom did so when she got a leg up to do so, but it came at the price of me being so incredibly ignorant of black culture where I would have posrepped that post five years ago.

Once I actually met black people outside of the white suburb I grew up in, I got to discover there is a whole, wide range of "black neighborhoods" and black culture. I remember @vandygoddess once getting pissed at me for thinking that I was the Only Good Black Person(tm). She was far from wrong to do so, after she too worked her ass off to obtain a degree and had seen many successful examples of functionality within her community.

You being from Georgia, I'm sure you're aware of the wealthy black communities that have taken off in the last two decades especially, and yet you never bring those ones up in conversation. Ever.

so dig through the archives and find where I ever said blacks are less intelligent than whites. Plenty of blacks are smarter than me. Anyway, subcontract the digging out if you don't have the time, I understand. I used to work for a living. And yes there are black neighborhoods that are doing quite well - good for those neighborhoods & their residents. If they want to remain in these neighborhoods, cool. If they want to move to my neighborhood, still cool, it's a free country - wherever they feel safer & better served.

And while were on the topic, quit making every conversation about race relations about you and your small circle of Good Minorities(tm). I'm well aware that there are a lot of black folks doing good out there. I happen to live in such an area where I was able to walk twenty minutes home at 8 PM from the trolley without fear of being shot and no groups of tweakers trying to steal my bag.

In fact, the only time I've ever had anything stolen from under my nose was while waiting for a commuter bus in downtown Sacramento, by a white guy on his bike who told me he needed to make a phone call.



Instead of slagging off black neighborhoods, maybe you can figure out what works and why, or ask the Goid Minorities how they managed to escape the cycle of poverty and/or crime.

How do blacks/whites escape the cycle of crime? By not hanging around with their peers who embrace the cycle of crime. Of course if you live and go to school with those who embrace the life of crime, then you are more likely to engage in such activities. Thus moving your black family to a safe neighborhood (be it white or black) ups the odds of ending up not engaging in a life of crime.
Again, math saves the day.
