Seems like a retro formula but I like the old style stuff (I always thought Fillion would work well in a remake/ripoff of the Rockford Files...)

    Anyway, the bait is cast....

    Castle...

As in like, "House" and "Holmes"?

So its sort of like "miss marple" meets "a desperate need to create another cult show based around a single sardonic lead character"?

As much as I like Fillion, he has the kiss of death when it comes to TV series.

I predict it will be cancelled within six episodes. :bergman:

Actually, they will have to be very talented to make such a retro formula work on TV anymore. As much as I think NF is NOT the kiss of death, i do tremble for the future of this show simply based on the concept.

Mind you, I LIKE the concept and done well it should be fun but I'm not sure it will find an audience at all.

I like the idea, it has an Ellery Queen vibe to it. I'll be tuning in.

Ellery Queen was played by the late Jim Hutton, probably better known to most here as Sgt. Peterson, the scrounger, in the John Wayne Vietnam War epic, The Green Berets. He's also the father of Academy award winning actor Timothy Hutton.

Awesome. Nobody plays 'smug asshole' like Fillion.

Maybe that's why Mewa likes him so much; he identifies with him.

Mewa's favorite actor is Garret Wang and token black dude from Enterprise.

And I thought comparing him to Flavor Flav was a low blow. :jayzus:
