Castle... As in like, "House" and "Holmes"? So its sort of like "miss marple" meets "a desperate need to create another cult show based around a single sardonic lead character"?
As much as I like Fillion, he has the kiss of death when it comes to TV series. I predict it will be cancelled within six episodes.
From the link The characters mother will have a role? FAIL He plays poker with James Patterson, Sue Grafton and Stephen King??? How does King fit into that group??? And will these characters actually be seen or just talked about? FAIL Ex-wife as his editor??? FAIL Comedy-drama?? FAIL
Actually, they will have to be very talented to make such a retro formula work on TV anymore. As much as I think NF is NOT the kiss of death, i do tremble for the future of this show simply based on the concept. Mind you, I LIKE the concept and done well it should be fun but I'm not sure it will find an audience at all.

Awesome. Nobody plays 'smug asshole' like Fillion. Maybe that's why Mewa likes him so much; he identifies with him.
