Yeah this one has gotta be causing heads all over the place to split. In case anyone is wondering here is the meat of the judges decsion

This case and its processing through the courts has been nothing but pure bullshit. It was first filed in 2009 after DC told the SCOTUS and its Heller decision to fuck off. No way were they gonna allow carrying of firearms even if the Constitution said it was a right. Kinda strange for a place that bitches it wants to be a state but wont follow the Constitution. It took 5 years of the court trying to ignore this before they made a decision. Even then it was only done due to legal pressure brought by the plaintiff.

So now the court has decided that since DC wanted to play their games they pay one hell of a penalty. As of today, anyone who is in DC, resident or not, can conceal carry or open carry without any sort of licensing at all. This is known as constitutional carry and is in practice in states like Vermont, Arizona, and Alaska. However I advise anyone to wait a bit before going out and walking the streets of DC with a pistol strapped to their hip. The Metro Police Department, under the incompetent and corrupt leadership of Chief Cathy Lanier is more likely to shoot first and ask questions later. I know, I know, who is the real danger here?

I don't do Facebook. But let me guess - more negative than positive comments about this decision?

Well looks like the Chief, who is already in enough trouble over and involved with a racial discrimination lawsuits as a defendant has instructed MPD officers to not make any arrests. Anyone up for a road trip?

Count me out. I hate that place! That loop around D.C. on I-95 isn't wide enough IMO. You can still see the capitol from a distance.

Summers are too hot and winters too cold. That leaves us 2 weeks in the spring
