    Also the "assault" probably refers to an altercation with a shoplifter at the store I worked for. In that case I was operating under the direct orders of my boss and under the obligations of my employment contract.

    I was told this was allowed under Texas law at that time.

    Prove it. I've condemned homosexual acts but never committed them myself. I've condemned all sexual activity outside of marriage to a woman and I've never committed them myself.

    If I recall correctly, I've condemned drug use and excessive alcohol use and I've never committed either of those either.

    So what are you talking about?

    Let's see:-

    1) You've condemned people for insulting you while routinely insulting others, and many times without provocation;

    2) You've demanded automatic respect from others while telling them they are not worthy of the same;

    3) You have used profanity while lecturing others about it's bad use;

    4) You have criticised the beliefs of others while declaring your own beliefs to be beyond question;

    5) You have routinely insulted the careers and jobs of others while having the worst career history on the entire board;

    6) You judge people based on all manner of things, be it race, nationality, culture, sexuality or whatever else, and then tell people they should not judge you;

    7) You try to manipulate rules and situations to your advantage and then whine when someone does something similar to you;

    8) You criticse the nature of the personal relationships of others while having been a purveyor of domestic violence in your own marriage;

    9) You've threatened violence on others while claiming to be a peaceful Christian;

    10) You tell kids to get used to doing what white man tells them in life, when you yourself can't even follow what your employer tells you to do and ultimately get fired because of it; and

    11) You refuse to consider and accept the opinions of others, no matter how qualified they might be, while demanding that people accept your opinions and do not question or debate them.

    There's a good handful of reasons right there. Should I go on? I'm sure I could come up with at least another half dozen.

    Virtually all of that is simple routine discussion board interactions.

    Hardly something to bring up your interpretation of the Bible about.

    gul is right El Chup. You do take things here way too seriously.

    You can go on all you want and troll for rep points from people here who don't like me El Chup.

    But it won't make you right.

    Um no. They are examples of your behaviour and your hypocrisy. Your routine judgments of others is way more than just "simple board interaction"

    Why not? Are you saying your behaviour online is somehow separate from all other behaviour?
    In his opinion, but you're the one whose gotten yourself so wound up on here more than once that you've goten yourself banned for making threats against others and trying to disclose PMs. So I wouldn't rush to claim that others take things too seriously, as once again you're displaying your hypocrisy.

    Yes, I really care about "rep points". :facepalm: :lol:

    Except that I am right on all of the above. You not wanting to admit it or face up to it doesn't change that there's a lot of truth in your many double standards.

    The closest I have come to committing a crime was stealing a bag of 5p crisps from a newsagent at 11 years old.

    Things like wife beating and hit and runs are actions I wouldn't dream of.

    No doubt you (and others) do not consider your past behaviour to be "despicable".

    Just as I don't consider mine to be.

    So you're just assuming by default that we have also committed potential crimes? Bit silly when you have no indication that this is the case.

    In the past you've routinely bitched and moaned about a negative rep you've gotten from someone.

    Point of order, @Dayton3! I never said chup took things too seriously. I said people shouldn't take him seriously. Everybody has their buttons, pointing one out doesn't mean the person takes Wordforge too seriously.

    If Dayton's beliefs are true, here's hoping he gets pulled up for manslaughter by Saint Pete when he's all pumped up at checking in to the Big Fancy Sky Hotel.

    "Manslaughter?!"

    "Yeah. That old lady who's car you dinged? Y'know, the one where you failed to stop because it would have taken a few minutes out of your oh-so-precious day? Went into shock because, well - gee - a big truck slammed into her and then roared off. Was so panicky trying to get home afterwards she overcompensated for a turn and rolled the car. Been here moaning about that guy who dinged her for 16 years. Because you couldn't take five minutes to give her your address, apologise and - most of all - check she was OK. Hang on to your lunch, the drop down to the other place is vertical..."

    "Wait, aren't I forgiven?"

    "After bragging about it and refusing to admit it was wrong? Boy, faith don't stretch THAT far."

    That is perfectly reasonable. EVERY country is different. EVERY situation is different. Thus they should be treated accordingly on an individual basis.

    I was content with merely catching up with this thread with my eyes rolling across my desk in regards to your ludicrous attitude to your failure to perform the duties of a driver, but this post warrants my commentary, because I happen to know quite a bit about bus driving. In fact, given the fact that I was let go for two preventables, your claim that "school bus drivers are fully expected to get dings in buses all the time due the difficulties in maneuvering such a large vehicle down narrow streets and sharp turns characteristic of school bus routes" is absolute crap. Policies regarding preventables vary from company to company; mine was no more than one in a 12 month period. If you're suggesting that dings are from tree branches and bushes, while not necessarilly counted as preventables, those are to be documented post trip and noted on any subsequent pre trip paperwork. If dings are from stationary objects such as posts, signs or vehicles, those are very much preventables, and as such are fully the responsibility of the bus operator to avoid. I'll add that hitting anything during a driving test should mean automatic failure to pass the test and dismissal from the company; that driving instructor was very much negligent in passing that colleague that hit three stop signs.

    If you drove a bus for six years, you've gone through the training and accepted the additional responsibilities that come with a commercial driver's license, which include operating your private vehicles. This includes longer following distances to avoid rearending cars and heightened awareness of what is happening around you. This includes giving yourself room to safely get out of situations before you become part of the problem (eg, maneuvering around stalled vehicles at intersections, reacting to sudden stops in traffic, drivers cutting you off or oncoming cars veering into your lane). This also includes your responsibilities should collisions happen, and given my understanding that you rearended a car, motioned its driver to the side and then went on your way is a clear indication that you failed to maintain proper, safe following distance, and that you failed to stay at the scene of a collision and perform the duties of a driver. As a holder of a CDL, that is an embarrassment to your training, and it is an embarrassment to the privilege of holding a private driver's license as well. Furthermore, as illustrated previously in the thread, it is also a felony, and your careless attitude about it is appalling, as is your attitude that so long as you make it right with God, you'll be fine, because it's not God you need to set things right with. It's the people you've affected in the choices you make, the actions you perform. As a Christian, asking forgiveness from God is the last step you should make; you need to ask forgiveness and offer restitution to those you've done wrong to first, because, to quote Matthew 25:40 (KJV): "...Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

    In regards to my two preventables, which led to my dismissal (and I made a thread about it at the time, but I can't remember if it was BR or RR, so whatever): I reported them without hesitation. Per rules in place they did not go on my personal driving record, though even if they had, enough time has elapsed that they would have 'fallen off' (ie, considered irrelevant for insurance purposes), though I'd still have to (generically) report them on a driving job application to a federally regulated company (Driving History: Two PA's, 2012).
