It could be that he’s already on edge and it just takes that one bad day to push him over the edge. I do like Phoenix’s look.
Official pic from Todd Phillips. Phillips also says pre-Joker's name is Arthur. I don't know how to wrestle a pic free of Instagram, so here's a link. https://www.instagram.com/p/BnzF1teH-yK/?utm_source=ig_embed
I really think it's stupid giving Joker an origin story. Hell not having an origin story makes him way more interesting IMHO. There will always be that mystery of who he was before he became Joker. It's terrible that it looks like they will lose Cavill. I can currently think of no other person that can "look" the part of Superman. You can recast all the others but Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot need to stay. The Wonder Woman movie was fantastic and I'm looking forward to the next one. Really they should skip all the origin movies and just start out with a Justice League movie. Get things back on track. The movie starts with Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and Flash running into Green Lantern. You don't need Cyborg who shouldn't have been in the movies. It should have been John Stewart as Green Lantern. Maybe he arrives in time to warn them of the Sinestro Corp attack on Earth. Or something. But they need to get the movies back on track. You don't need to be super dark and gritty either. Marvel actually has the right tone for their movies. DC should emulate the tone.
I was wondering why they didn't go with A. Felch. Of course, some people have different idea about who would be the best Joker.
Hamill's a great Joker for the animated world. He wouldn't work at all for a big screen Joker, at least not one done straight. Ledger's the gold standard, and Leto's pretty good IMHO (though his material hasn't been great). Hamill would be more in the Romero-Nicholson zone.
Sorry, Leto was awful in the role. Hamill would be interesting but would probably need prosthetic make-up.
"Good answer. I'll be watching you." I thought he was pretty good; I mainly found the script to be lacking. YMMV.
Peter Dinklage is in two versions of the Marvel universe, as are Chris Evans, Michael B. Jordan, Josh Brolin, and Ryan Reynolds if you count "Days Of Future Past", as a soft reboot of X-Men. And Patrick Leahy is the Stan Lee cameo guy of Batman. Just saying, the horse is out of the barn on that.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead would be my choice for reboot Lois Lane, but she'd work as the Huntress, too! And Black Canary's going to have extra melanin? Should be a blonde chick...
Blonde Black Canary is the de-facto leader on Legends Of Tomorrow. Dimensional duplicates confuse WB execs.
Thinking he's gonna end up looking pretty different in the movie So if this is a Joker origin movie does that mean that Batman has to be in it? My knowledge of the comics is scarce, but I thought Batman has something to do with him falling in to the vat of chemicals? Or are there like 100 different takes on how he came to be the Joker (probably)?
Yep, this is an alternate universe. Somehow, he's frien-emies with Thomas Wayne before he's shot. So, no Batman (yet) in this world.
Meanwhile, they just handed in the script for the Joker & Harley movie. They say it's "This Is Us", meets "Bad Santa". https://www.cbr.com/joker-harley-quinn-films-script-complete/
