Oh, he's here regularly. He's even been reading my blog. I don't think he has the slightest clue what he's done in linking to it in his signature at TK, but that's what I've always liked best about him...he's his own worst enemy.
Are you serious? I've met Dennis a couple times, too, and he's NEVER been "on the quiet side." He has good stories, tho. Ever hear his Harlan Ellison impersonation?
^I've seen Dennis in both modes. He can be raucous and funny, and he can be quiet and thoughtful. The boobirds sometimes bring out the worst in him, though.
Dennis is shy. I thoroughly overwhelmed the poor guy. garamet, there is a reason I like the Romulans and Vulcans. It's not all because they're dead sexy. I have a few traits that would be considered Romulan. Of course, I prefer old-school Romulan, not the NewTrek(TM) version who were more often than not, cardboard villains.

I gotta agree, the one time I met Dennis he was a pussy cat. Nice guy in person. Then again I had my kids with me so maybe he was terrified of em. I will say he pulled one over on my then 13 year old. He introduced himself as "Enterpriser" and my daughter didnt know if she should recoil in horror or gouge his eyeballs out. I think she had nearly settled on the "both" option when we quickly dispelled the prank.
