I had a whole biting piece of sarcasm loaded up, but y'know what? At this stage I'm too fucking tired of pointing out these assholes are a bunch of hypocrites using witticisms. They're a bunch of hypocritical assholes. We all know it, there's no point us being all erudite about it anymore, because you can describe a turd as excrement if you want, but it's still a piece of shit at the end of the day, so don't fucking fancy it up.
Everyone should keep this in mind when CC claims to be libertarian. Literally no libertarian I know is as much of a statist and Trump defender as CC.
You assume that to be the case because ICE is after them? Out of all the various government agencies, you choose to blindly trust the one that is repeatedly criticized for systematic overreach and is built on a questionable legislative basis in the first place? Care to seriously think about WHY you suddenly trust the government blindly for a few minutes?
Then why do you assume that people faced with ICE are not citizens, or are not in the country legally?
Why would ICE come to a persons house who’s here legally? I was born here, I don’t have ICE knocking on my door.
Privilege in action. Ask just about any black man or woman how often they have to watch for police, even though they don't commit crimes.
Why would the police search a house if the owner wasn't a criminal? Why would the DA charge an innocent man? Why would the IRS investigate a man if they weren't cheating on their taxes? Why would the government increase taxes if it wasn't fair and necessary? Why would the country go to war if there was no imminent threat? Why would someone suspend privacy rights if it wasn't needed for the safety of all citizens? Why would anyone censor free speech if it wasn't dangerous? Why would anyone confiscate guns if the owners weren't suspicious? Again: Why do you suddenly trust a government agency in this one case, to the extent that just demanding a warrant for actions that require a warrant seems suspicious to you?
This is worth watching: For those who don't feel like watching the full 14 minutes, essentially, this man and his wife were in their front yard, and the cops stopped and wanted to know their identification because they were "acting suspicious." Our main man here has to actually inform the police that they have no right to ask him his identification while on his property, and not detained. It really is worth the watch.
All the damn time. I don't excessively speed by San Diego standards, but I'm aware of the regulation on cannabis transportation and alcohol storage.
"Acting suspicious", could be fucking anything. I could suck spit down my windpipe, and choke, and it would be suspicious. Well, I'm white, I could actually walk around with a balloon elephant on my crotch, spraying two cans of Freaky String, and as long as I wasn't nude, or disrupting someone's TV program, I could do as I please.
No. The Cuban camps is when the term entered the English language as a mistranslation from Spanish, but the practice dates back at least to the internment of Native Americans in the 1830s, 60 years earlier.
You are concerned that not being armed would lead to tyranny in some purely hypothetical scenario because governments will always accrue power and must not be trusted. Here is a concrete example of a government agency doing illegal things and accruing power. Yet you trust them because they're the government. EDIT: @K. , just noticed, you did this better.
@shootER rates that post dumb, but provides no proof of his claim thus leading me to believe that he has no proof.
You aren't concerned about it. Ergo, you either don't care about the rights of the folk on the receiving end of this (further demonstrating you aren't a fucking Libertarian) OR you accept the government's position that all of these folk are genuinely illegals. Could you clarify which sort of cunt you are, since you seem determined to try the cute goalpost moving bullshit?
0 cause searches and checkpoints are generally frowned upon by libertarians as they normally feel that "showing your papers" is beyond the scope of law enforcement and infringes on liberties. Libertarians I know are normally quite vocal that you assert your rights not to answer questions or consent to searches on principle because the police should have to show cause for detaining you and questioning you. You are the shittiest libertarian ever.
You argued against those people requiring ICE to have a warrant and cause to search for illegal immigrants because it was bad that someone informed them on how to deal with ICE in a legal manner.
Either you did not pay any attention to what you were responding to, or you are too stupid to be participating in this. Either way worst libertarian ever.
