At least I understand all that I have seen, Microbrain. Now growl for me while your superior waves you away.
Only because you don't like him. I dare say that if he was as stupid with politics from your side of the aisle you wouldn't mind one bit.
You dumbfuck. All forums are slowing down these days. I'd bet even really big boards like TBBS are slower than they used to be. Wordforge was slowing down before gturner got here. All you've done is to make up excuses to put the blame on someone you don't like and who isn't popular with the majority of people here. How wonderfully fascist of you. I wonder, will it finally dawn on you after you ban all the people you don't like and there are still no new members to replace them that you were fucking wrong, or will you fantasize about a conspiracy of all the people you banned being the reason Wordforge ends up dying?
Yeah, and one of the things you're getting shit about is that you'd just up and ban someone for no other reason than that you don't like them. You know, the kind of thing that happened at TBBS and is largely responsible for Wordforge growing to what it is was.
I don't like gturner, but that's not why I'd ban him, not that it really matters now. If I ban someone, it's because they're disrupting the board, or continues to break the rules. Enterpriser skirted the rules without breaking them, and caused people to be miserable because he was just legal enough to stick around a long time. I remembered that when I started my own board, and also when I came here. No Enterprisers.
gturner posting shit you don't like/agree with does not constitute "disrupting the board." You and I both know he didn't break any rules. There's pretty much only two rules when it comes to RR - 1) Don't reveal personal information not posted on the board (excepting BR), and 2) Don't threaten to sabotage the board itself (i.e. threatening to hack it, or by posting up illegal shit). The other forums have pretty standard rules (trolling, flaming, etc.). How has gturner broken any of them?
It sounds like @John banned gturner because eliteforge looked really bad after their behavior yesterday and they weren't able to lawyerball their way out of it. Now at least gturner won't be able to tell anyone his side of the story. I'm sure this will solve everything.
Wonder how long until we're on the ban list. Wonder if they catch on when the board ends up being even deader than it was that it was the wrong move, or if they'll be too busy masturbating in the circle-jerk of an echo chamber they've created.
Exactly. For some reason, a few of you seem to think there's a moratorium on rule breaking because gturner was banned. It simply isn't so.
John & Anna piously lecturing on rule-breaking while simultaneously refusing to specify what rules @gturner broke or what specific criteria he had to satisfy to come back goes beyond hypocrisy. It's high comedy.
Well hey, at least in the case of Volpone and Poodle, you can actually point to what rules were broken instead of simply responding with snark and asinine shit about "lawyerballing." Too bad you can't do that when it comes to gturner.
Yeah. There are ways to protest Anna's stupidity, along with Gul and John's stupidity without giving that cabal of morons a clear and easy excuse to ban someone. Volpone and Ron Paul fucked up.
Nah. I'm pretty sure that, had he lived to see it, Chardman would have been next in line for boxing. Dude wasn't quite on at the gturner level, but he was a spammy bastard. Think about that while you "lovingly suckle the Prolapsed Anus of Epic Fail™"
In his defense, he suffered an accident that left him with a very limited range of motion, and I think that was a big part for his memes. It's not like Flashy deserved any more effort than that to his stupidity.
He is too stupid to think that far ahead. Hell, after he bans everyone he has a vendetta against and things still keep getting worse he will, no doubt, claim the problem was he didn't ban people fast enough. That him banning people unjustly was part of the problem will never cross his pea brain.
The problem with the ignore function is that it only works on one poster. If I'm in a thread where 10 other people are talking, and one starts up shit, I can put him or her on ignore. Sounds good, right? Right! The problem is when the other 9 posters start throwing shit at the ignored poster, and the thread goes from being about Adirondack chairs (work with me), and about that shit stirring poster. The Violet Room was an attempt to fix that problem. Clearly, there were more problems underneath, and the Violet Room wasn't given enough fleshing out before implementation. I still think it was a good idea.
No matter how you slice it, this forum represents a form of petty censorship, and it will be opposed as such. It's also always going to have that "gulag" history to it. You know what I do when I come across something like what you're talking about? At worst, I snark about it. The vast majority of the time, I either keep scrolling until I come across that looks more interesting, or I hit the "back" button on my browser and find a different thread to browse. You want to make things better and get people to simmer down? Reverse the ban on gturner, put all these threads back in RR, and get rid of VR. Three simple steps.
