I was returning from a business trip this afternoon and saw a car hauler with four or five of those ugly Tesla "trucks" on it driving north on the toll road that runs in front of Eegah's plant outside of Austin. A couple of them were muddy, like they'd been doing testing or something.

Those things are at least twice as ugly IRL as they are in photos. :vomit:

Somebody pointed out that truck sales in the US really started to take off once the truck makers started building trucks with front-ends that resembled the semis their other divisions were producing. Not sure how that'd work with the Cybertruck.

So by aerocover they mean a plastic fucking hubcap? You paid that much money for a fucking car and you didn't get nice rims? You got hubcaps? You not only got hubcaps for your space elcamino. OK, I guess that probably makes sense considering the elcamino had hubcaps IIRC.

The fucking things have hubcaps and they are so poorly designed they eat away at the sidewall of the tire because they tried to make them look cool with extra shitty plastic that would get destroyed if it rubbed against an actual rock.

All I can say is I am glad I already wear diapers because I am going to laugh so fucking hard I wet myself when I see these fucking things on the road.

You don't even have to slash the tires, the car does it for you.

we could stop this shit right now.

We give this guy a year in jail, and then 5 years probabtion with a revoked license without the ability to drive for work or to work, and make it really public. We also seize his cybertruck and his VR headset. Wherever tyhis dangerous idiot is monetized for his skit is fined a million dollars to encourage them to not publish or monetize this crap. Also, all Tesla drivers and people with VR headsets will be forced to pay a 30 percent increase in insurance premiums due to this guys mistake for the next three years.

I am pretty sure that would put a damper on this shit and cause the people who need to reign in these dolts to do so.

But we are not going to do any of that. That is way too much deternce to send the idiots a message. So this is just going to inspire a VR headset social media challenge and cause more deaths. But the cult of elon, cult of social media influencers, and the cult of crapple have all gotten together to make a stupider challenge than the tide pod challenge. Thanks Tesla, Apple, and twitter.

On a seperate note. Who is the dayton in the above situation?

    1. The guy driving the Tesla with the VR goggles on?
    2. The guy in the passenger seat filming him
    3. The world for allowing this to happen (Invalid choice as no one stops dayton from happening)

No I did not include Teh Baba because Teh Baba is technically not dayton, and by that I do not mean he was not dayton the account, but not actually dayton kitchens.

Cult members get what they deserve for working to put death traps for lord elon on the road. I really have little pity for Tesla, Twitter, and space X employees. Maybe a few years back when LRElon was unknown and his cult of elonetics was a new hope of the world, but now you are the space Org and deserve everything your crazy cult leader does to you.

I have worked for an Evil Empire before. I was a TWC employee. We got good benefits and decent pay for fucking people over with Cable. If my reward was being a crash test dummy for Lord Elon's crazy self driving app I would have left that moment. This dude sat in the death trap willingly to please his dfark overlord, and he gets what he deserves. IBM offered me a free thinkpad for home use when I contracted for them. I didn't need any more junk. At least you could use AOL and win NT disks for coasters.

Meh, it’s hard to get worked up over a recall when it’s fixed by an OTA software update, no matter how large, particularly when they’re rolling out software updates regularly anyway.

Yes and no. After all, any kind of decent software out there is getting routine updates on a regular basis, so the fact that Teslas have to do it is no big deal or surprise. However, if this software patch is a government-mandated thing, rather than Tesla saying, "Oh, yeah, we need to fix this." that's a little different. Because if the government has gotten involved, then things have probably been pretty bad for a while. You remember the issue with Ford SUVs rolling over because the recommended tire pressure was too low? It wasn't the government or Ford who figured out that it was a problem. It was newspaper reporters who noticed that there seemed to be an unusually high number of Ford SUVs flipping, and after they investigated and reported on it, NHSTA got involved and forced Ford to do something about it. (Hmm. You don't suppose that one of the reasons billionaires are buying up media companies is so that they can cover up stories about their products killing people, do you?)

This is a new tactic we need to be aware of in the age of technology. It is one thing for the company to be doing their normal update for software, but when the government is stepping in and saying you have to do this now, there is a bigger problem. This should be considered along all tech platforms.

Way to type something out and support your argument with reason. Are you sure you are @Tuckerfan . I am used to tweet level posts and clickbait from you. If you did this a lot more often I might be inclined to compliment you rather than shit on you for being a vapid annoyance.

Tesla Engineer Claims Cybertrucks Aren’t Actually Rusting

TL;DR Version: Metal particles (from rail dust, etc.) are sticking to the trucks, and that's what's rusting. In the comments, someone has pointed out that the alloy Musk likely used for the truck becomes magnetic when worked, so metal will tend to stick to it, and the alloy that they picked also has low corrosion resistance. So, even if it's not the truck that's rusting, it soon will be.
