Huh, I know dogs are incredibly loyal but how did Capitan find his owner's grave?

Yeah, the embalming process should have eliminated the man's scent. But another possibility is that the embalmer did it right, and the dog smelled the clothing or some other remembrances included in the coffin.

Mr. Guzman is still very much alive. The grave is an underground Nazi bunker, that's why the dog (reincarnated Nazi because he's a German shapard) is standing guard. Think...it's Argentina! The place was a hotbed of Nazis escaping war trials. I just can't believe there aren't more of these in Argentina...or are there? :nocomment:

I don't believe this story. I'd like to but it's just too crazy that the dog found the cemetery and grave on his own.

Stories like this are why some of us say things like "Don't mess with my dog. His life means more to me than yours does." :brood:

I wondered about that too. Seems hard to believe, but what would anyone gain by telling a story like?

Poetic as it all is, I hate to see the poor doggy waste the rest of his life sitting there all sad and lonely.

Apparently not, but he could have followed their scent as well as his master's.

Pretty interesting story if true and shows what really dedicated Shepards are capable of.

    Is it really that crazy?

Dogs have found their families thousands of miles away before.

Plus, what gain is there in lying? It only took moments to find out it's Villa Carlos Paz Cordoba cemetery and anyone can go there and find out if it's a lie very easily.

The only surprising thing is that it took six years to end up in the press.
