You can't have constant exploding Somali heads from kick-ass sniper shots. You need something like this to "cleanse the pallete" as it were.

I'm thinking the next pirate destruction will be epic, American led, and awe inspiring.

Good on the Dutch. A Royal Navy ship would have surrendered on sight to the pirates.

The Dutch don't have to live with the stigma of being a superpower, or a wannabe superpower. Everyone wins when its a battle of the underdogs ;).

My how the mighty have fallen. They all need to watch "Master + Commander" and wax nostalgic.

I wouldn't doubt it. When I was in the AF we had some dudes go TDY there for a few weeks to work with their military.

At the time they had a UNION! Yes, a unionized military.
And they drank beer at their in-office snack bar during work.

We had our "two beer lunch" but they pretty much drank all day during their breaks.

How does a union for a military organization work?

Just like for any major corporation I suppose. But as mentioned, it's not like the Dutch Military are movers + shakers on the level of America or Russia. Maybe on a much smaller level, it works for them.
