Elon should be very thankful for H1B Visas right now. If the Biden Administration was not so bgeholdent to the corporations that enslave H1B people he could try to alter their ability to seek new employment to totally screw elon. But that would mess things up for so many other companies taking advantage of immigrants.

It is truly amazing and tragic that one of Musks children coming out as trans probably kicked off the chain of events leading to him wasting tens of billions of dollars buying Twitter.

If one were on Twitter or Facebook or any other social media one might notice that despite being a trans woman, there are no pronouns in my bio nor do I mention them unprompted. I'll note them if in a setting where it's an expected social grace but that's all it is. I've NEVER felt ostracized for not doing so or had my choice questioned.

I submit the counter argument that those who THINK they are being put upon or ostracized because some people choose to foreground their pronouns are in fact fragile snowflakes who are too easily offended and perhaps in need of a safe space.

Which, now that I think of it, seems to be EM's goal for Twitter - to turn it into a very expensive safe space for reactionary ghouls to hide and discuss amongst themselves how offended and traumatized they are by all the pronoun havers of the world.

As someone who is cisgender, it's been a little tricky in a few social settings where I'm not quite sure how someone identifies. I first try to pick up on any cues from someone who knows the person better, then I rely on just using their name rather than he/she/they etc. I accidentally misgendered someone on one occasion, they politely corrected me, I apologized, and I made sure to get it correct moving forward. It wasn't a big deal, they understood, and we moved on.

It's really not that difficult to be polite, unless you're a feral caveperson like @Uncle Albert.

Tbf I'm certain the gold he mines is brown, of doughy consistency, and a biological byproduct which the Mythbusters proved can be shined if massaged enough...

So if I spend all that money to see Dave, he is going to insult me for having "cheap" seats while bringing up his dumb ass rich bitch friend?

That settles it. The only thing I want to see Dave in is a self driving Tesla rocket to mars.

Obviously, Twitter could rebound. But Twitter stock is worth less than what he paid for it, if only by about a dollar or so. Numerous moves that have been made since his takeover (having the blue verified checkmark switch to a pay model, letting go lots of people including key people overseeing security for Twitter, allowing hate speech to come back in droves, antagonizing advertisers) show little promise in the short- or long-term as good business decisions. He has also apparently thumbed his nose at a consent decree that Twitter is under, which likely won't end well for the company.

The new 4000 word format will kill it I think, or at least make it much, much less popular to use

    Because CHUD-ism is comedy kryptonite.
But the person infected can't see it.

The show was in San Fransisco, do you think that might have something to do with why he was booed?

I was thinking more about these Twitter files that came out and now we know that the government was involved in censoring people. The excuse that Twitter is a private company no longer applies. I don't think that's a waste, but I'm not shocked in the least that nobody here is talking about it.

Do you really think woke San Fran people go to Dave Chappelle shows? Those are the people that are trying to cancel him. C'mon man

Okay, let's take on your premise for the sake of argument.
That there's just something fundamentally "wrong" about San Francisco that makes them "not appreciate good comedy" or whatever crap way you want to word it.
Why parade Musk out in a hostile town except to troll?
And why be angry and surprised when the trolling works?

There's no firewall in your brain that keeps the crap out. None.
If your brain were a PC, it would have been turned into a hunk of lead by a boot sector rootkit in the 90's, and stayed dead.

To boo Musk? Yes I do think that woke people purposely show up at many events where there are speakers they don't like so they can make a big stink so it makes it into the news cycle, especially if said person recently fired them. They're not booing Chappelle, they're booing Musk.

    Oh man

First of all it sounds like it was a total surprise when Dave brought on Musk, no one had any idea or advance knowledge : https://datebook.sfchronicle.com/co...ith-elon-musk-during-final-bay-area-tour-stop

Second of all let's say it's true that woke or whatever people will spend $262 minimum (that's the basic ticket price for this show) to go and boo someone - you're only get a handful of people that will actually do that, if any. Out of 18,000 people that were there last night there's a shitload more than a few people booing him if you watch the footage

So it doesn't really look like you know what you're talking about here....in fact, you may have just become this meme:

Why do you always use these cartoonish examples? Are you not aware of the multiple ways people communicate around the world? Why does it always have to be these cartoonish examples of secret meeting in a cave or something? It just shows how moronic your thinking is.
