Are you ready for some football?

The English Premier League kicks off on August 11.

The Fantasy Football site is open for the new season,
with 270,000 players already signed up.

I have set up a league for our Wordforge players.

I hope that we get everyone back from last year,
and some new players as well.

The game is fun, and easy to play.

Go - here - to register.

Use this code: 153344-56239 - to enter the Wordforge League.

I don't know if I should bother after my appalling showing last season. :garamet: Then again I do take a great deal of morbid satisfaction for finishing ahead of Stallion... :D

League 1 news - Leyton Orient are already 15 points clear of the once-mighty Leeds United - and the season hasn't even started yet!

Carlos Tevez is set to debut for Manchester United
on Wednesday, at either Dunfermline or Glentoran.

John Terry is out of action for a month.

Everton are closing on Leighton Baines.

On the new Fantasy Football homepage,
you can hit the news tab,
to keep up with all the action in the Premier League.

The deadline for the first week of Fantasy Football
is Saturday morning, 8/11 at 11:30 BST.

If you want to change your team, get in there,
the site is running a little slow.

The Wordforge League has everyone back from last year,
except Ecky, who has not yet entered a team.

Twas a disgrace. I think it was crucial to win the first game to avoid the slow start we had last term and now I'm pissed off. Alas we have one of the best strike forces in the country, yet we have to put up with jokers like Jenas, who couldn't control the midfield even if he had a contract outon his head.

There you go. We made it thru the first week of Fantasy Football.

PGT is off to a flying start.
With over a million players in the game, he's in the top 30,000.

We have a short week coming up, the next transfer deadline
is Tuesday evening. Check the schedule before you make your transfer.

Wayne Rooney will be out for two months.
He will miss England's qualifiers with Russia and Isreal.

David Beckham sat out the Galaxy's loss to New England.

If only that gloat was worth it, but frankly we didn't have many good shots on target and it was Scumderland's defence and midfield that kept us at bay.

They're not playing because their teams aren't in action, dopey. You'll pick up their points the next time their teams play, so you're not losing out on much (unless these players are injured, or not likely to be picked ;) )

Don't worry--the same's probably happened to most of us.

Well, except me. I'm missing just one reserve. :)
