    I am very close to buying a short-barreled .357.

Thank God Pedo bear wasnt around when you were a kid. Instead of offering you candy all he would have done is put a "free Guns" sign on the side of his van

Oh, anyone want to volunteer to lend a hand? I'm tearing everything down on Friday, cleaning them, and reassembling them. And, yeah, as soon as I function test that Sig, it will become my primary carry.

I love 1911's, but Sig P220's are a very, very, very close second. I sold all my Sigs a while back and I regretted getting rid of my stainless P220. It's used, but honestly, I don't think it's ever been fired. Not even once. It's to perfect. It came with a Don Hume leather slide holster and it has no signs of wear. I don't think the gun had ever been put in it.

I've never owned a Sig, but as much as I also love 1911s, that 220 grip fits my hand perfectly.

I think I'm going to finally get one. I owe it to myself. :soholy:

I fell in love with them many, many years ago. Until very recently, carrying anything in single-action was verboten. So, I started out with a Beretta 92FS.

I just couldn't work the damned thing. I had to change my shooting grip to manipulate the safety and that's just not safe. Since our "approved" list was very short, I decided to give Sig a shot. I bought a factory nickled P226 in 9mm.

I regret selling that gun every day. It was perfect.

I'll admit I haven't been as serious about getting a 220 I probably should've been, but they're just so damned expensive to us non LEO-types. :garamet:

The only time in my life I've ever been a little irritated with my best friend was over a Sig 220. He'd found one in a pawn shop for $400. :soma: It was pristine. Very clean, nice finish, you name it.

He kept it for a while but eventually sold or traded it for another gun.

I was pissed at him for a little while for not selling it to me.

Sig doesn't give us shit. We pay just like everyone else. The only break I may get by buying one at Gulf States is due to them buying in bulk, a thousand at a time.

That P226 cost me $950 in 1997. The only reason I could afford this one was because I took my Kimber TLE II and worked out a horse trade. I swapped them, key for key. That Kimber was still giving me some troubles and I'm just not amazingly comfortable with the Schwartz safety.

I think it was owned by a little old lady who only carried it to church on Sundays.

Elwood, you said you would carry this as your duty gun. Would you ever conceal it off duty, or is it too thick?

We already had this conversation two years ago, hero. :nyer:

    Tentatively.

I guess it slipped past me that Bill Jr. had stepped down as CEO back in 2006. That coupled with the new company's rejection of "The Ruger Letter" by offering an AR has forced me to give them a chance.

Well, that and the fact that the Ruger Blackhawk and Super Blackhawks are the best single action revolvers on the market in the last 100 years. I still don't give two shits about their double action revolvers or semi-autos.[/quote]

I'm doing something incredibly stupid. I'm wearing it quite openly (with my badge clipped to my rig) and PD golf-shirt. I've gotten all sorts of funny looks today. :ramen:
