:P Man, the Army has had gang-activity since before I joined in 1988.

Fort Carson had a shit-load when I was there. You're always going to have a few bad eggs...the Army has hundreds of thousands of young men, and many come from poor/working class families.

I'm surprised we don't have more gang activity than we do....and military crime in general cuts across all ethnic backgrounds, trust me.

Funny true gang/drug story from Fort Carson:
some gang/military members were running a big coke ring on (and off) post. Once they were caught pretty much "in the act" of dealing in a barracks parking lot, and the high-speed chase was on!..cue up "Benny Hill Theme.)

The cops chased the bad guys car off post, and the dealers tried taking a short cut through a country club golf course.

The dealers flew up over a hill....and landed right in a huge water hazard (a very deep pond). :P It did not end well for them, and the cops just had to wait for them to wade/swim to shore.

Now a Fort Rucker thing: a drug deal apparently went bad in the "Lemon Lot" (the post used car lot) across the street from where I lived in post housing.
This was at 5:00 PM, right in front of "God and everybody." :IMHO!:

One guy shot another guy point blank through the head. The shooter then hauled ass, MP cars in hot pursuit. Eventually civilian law enforcement picked up the chase. Long story short, the guy was well into Georgia when he "called it quits" and fatally shot himself as the cops were closing in. :salute:
