As for the issue, I have to disagree. I think it is pretty cool that moderators can flame and troll in the Red Room just like everyone else.

Mods should not be set apart or made to be exceptions. Mods should just be there to facilitate the functioning of the board, nothing more or less.

And it makes WF unique among message boards.

Yeah, El Chup has made some calls I would disagree with. But how many people have actually been warned or banned by him? He's not as bad as you are making him out to be.

Heck, mods don't really do anything on WF anymore. I was only a mod for less than a month but all I really did was move an occasional thread here or there.

There is no power to abuse, really. AFAIK, moderators can't even ban people automatically. The most they could do is hit somebody with a bunch of warnings.

They're not bad, just misunderstood. Kinda like lima beans or adjustable rate mortgages.

You think mods can warn Admins?

And warn me for what?

It's nice to know that even when I am not here most of the time, people still think of me so often.

So what if they can? A warning around here is the equivalent of getting slapped on the wrist by Stephen Hawking. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but the wordforgers who freak out over a warning need therapy, STAT! No wordforger who doesn't want a banning could possibly ever get a banning through warnings.

Well, it is possible to pound someone with bullshit warnings in order to trigger an automatic ban, but I've only seen it used when no one with manual banning powers was online.
