I'm confident this film will fit in with other great '80's remakes like: Robocop, Total Recall, Footloose, Fright Night, The Karate Kid, Clash of the Titans, Arthur, Nightmare on Elm Street, Annie, Red Dawn, and National Lampoon's Vacation.
The Walk The Moon cover of Ghostbsusters. Meh, pretty standard and generic. But, perhaps this will be butt-hurt lotion for those that couldn't abide the Fallout Boy one.
Another poster is out. Had more thoughts and illustration than I could cram into a post, so did it on the blog. http://dickynoo.blogspot.com/2016/06/ghostbusters-2016-poster-part-3.html
I hardly consider myself a part of "kill it all with fire" lot where this movie's concerned, but that Fall Our Boy cover resembled the original as much as Roseanne Barr's infamous screeching of The Star Spangled Banner.
Lyft users in Boston can select "ghost mode" this weekend to select a ride in the Ecto-1. https://www.boston.com/news/movies/...on-really-really-good-reason-use-lyft-weekend
Does this sheboot of "Ghostbusters" at least take place in a different city than NYC? Like maybe Chicago, Los Angeles, or even nuOrleans? I wonder what the late Harold Ramis's thoughts were re: this sheboot?
New York of Earth 2. He passed before the first call ever went out to Paul Feig. But, his family is on board, and his children cameo in the film.
Well, now you have 8 days until this GB officially comes out. Though probably really more likely a week from tonight is when a certain % of movie theaters will begin showing this flick!
Astute observers will note it takes place in Boston, which for some reason has all kinds of New York themed props in the Ghostbusters universe.
Yanno, I never cared for the original GB, and I had no hard plans to see this one, but all the butthurt nerd rage has made me want to toss ten bucks Sony's way to see this for myself just for giggles and shits
I suppose some people think it's only possible to embrace this movie as some sort of feminist statement, but it's clear that Anna's interest is making an anti-nerd statement.
Mostly, this. I don't expect this film to do fuck shit in the way of feminism, but the butthurt nerd rage is off the damn scale. Between that and the salty tears of whichever ship fandom loses out when the long running "Bleach" manga ends next month, there's gonna be a lot of lulz online.
Three tweets constitutes positive reviews? The review I saw on reddit from a screening attendee said it was not the disaster people have assumed, but it was nothing amazing either.
