Is it strict enough in the US? Or, maybe I should be asking, does it even exist in the US? Columbine, Virginia Tech, The Amish school... Are these all fair game for your rights to bare arms? In my opinion, you'd have to be off your rocker to believe that to be the case.
I think gun control violates a basic principle: I have the right to defend what is mine and I have the right to protection from government abuses. Guns aford me the ability to enable that. I am a responsible and law-abaiding citizen and should not have my rights violated because some people aren't.
