so do i, although i feel quite dirty now i know that someone else who earns a pair, is actually more backwards than our resident anti-capitalist spudfucker
but thats populated by the descendants of vikings and they never got back invited to the olympics after that tragic misunderstanding in paris, where nobody told them their national sport of rape and pillage wasn't being recognized.
Where? Im all for americans owning at least 50 guns each, but in systems where guns are rare (UK)i think legalisation would certainly have larger downsides than upsides.
Ignorance is dangerous. I submit you are dangerously ignorant. In the entire history of man, the defense of one's liberty has never ended with mere words.
In 2004, there were 29,569 gun-related deaths in the United States, including almost 12,000 homicides, more than 16,750 suicides and approximately 650 unintentional deaths. This adds up to about 80 gun-related deaths in the United States every day. In 2004, there were 42,636 traffic-related deaths in the United States. This adds up to about 117 road-related deaths in the United States every day. Cars provide us with convenience and maybe even livelihood. Guns provide security on many levels, never mind the hobby and more casual aspects. And more than half the gun fatalities were self inflicted by sods who didn't want to exist any more anyway. I know it's not purely a numbers game, but which deserves greater value?
Shoes, I wish I could posrep every single one of your posts. Here's a picture of the car you want, instead: http://www.mwctoys.com/images/review_mach5_8.jpg
So this is what we've come to? The newbies from TK trying out their material here before they take it on the road?
The bottom line is that virtually all other major industrialized countries have gun control laws and as for whether all of them are fascist dictatorships or countries in which criminals run rampant... not exactly.
Except you're forgetting one thing. Gun grabbers always ignore this tiny little four word phrase: A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. And you might want to check this article out: http://www.guncite.com/gc2ndpur.html Original Intent and Purpose of the Second Amendment Introduction The Second Amendment: A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. The original intent and purpose of the Second Amendment was to preserve and guarantee, not grant, the pre-existing right of individuals to keep and bear arms. Although the amendment emphasizes the need for a militia, membership in any militia, let alone a well-regulated one, was not intended to serve as a prerequisite for exercising the right to keep arms. The Second Amendment preserves and guarantees an individual right for a collective purpose. That does not transform the right into a "collective right." The militia clause was a declaration of purpose, and preserving the people's right to keep and bear arms was the method the framers chose to, in-part, ensure the continuation of a well-regulated militia. There is no contrary evidence from the writings of the Founding Fathers, early American legal commentators, or pre-twentieth century Supreme Court decisions, indicating that the Second Amendment was intended to apply solely to active militia members. Hear Hear! All those other industrialized countries have gun control laws! Why can't we? How come the U.S. of A is the only major industrialized country without any gun control laws? We should also have a specialized federal police force that deals with the gun control laws that we don't have. Don't we already have one that deals with Tobacco and Alcohol laws? If we ever get any gun control laws, we should add that to their responsibilities.
I always worry that gun control laws will lead to evil things like ninja-suited agents smashing in doors late at night, shooting up innocent women, throwing expensive gun collections on lawns, breaking into the wrong houses, burning down buildings full of children.... Glad none of that can happen without gun control laws.
