While Ten Lubak's dedication to negrepping you for eight full year is ...something, you dug your own grave on that one by putting that shit in your intro post here.

What I said is that I have every right to expect myself and my belongings are secure in my home, and that anyone who violates that is solely responsible for the outcome of their actions.

As for children and access to dangerous items, ask me about it when I have kids.

No, you have the right to expect that they should be secure in your home.

Unfortunately what should be doesn't always determine reality.

The jealousy and projection in that was palpable, but introspection is not a skill that many around here have. It did speak volumes about the character of many people around here, and I do not regret the warnings it came with. That is what I am speaking on. @Ten Lubak wants so desperately to have and use such a power. It should be noted it is a good thing he is mentally weak as he is probably the only person around here who has shown the persevering dedication to the monotonous daily effort required to do such a thing. It takes a master to know one of their most dedicated wannabe students.

There are reasons I know I am the master troll, and one is I have this dude trying to prove himself worthy to me with 8 years of neg repping without fail. It is one thing when you have a loony like fleshlight, but ten is not fleshlight crazy. He just wants my secrets so he can finally turn on me and kill me with the super powers you all assume so awesome to have. You have done a terrible job of undermining my ego if that was one of your purposes. Just sayin.

Depends on how much rationalizing bullshit you heap on your definition of "benefit." If you confine it to material value, I would assess it mostly equal, voluntary exchange. If you would levy an extra charge, I'll expect receipts.

Uh huh. Now lets hear about the shooter and his history of violent "mental health crises," or how many times he was released from prison after convictions for violent crimes.

The US has the largest inmate population in the world, either per capita or in total numbers. That isn't the fucking problem.

The problem is that is the lack of healthcare for those who have mental issues, the lack of a social safety net driving people to desparation without them, and the fact that guns are readily available in numbers unheard of in any other first world nation.

Guns are more lethal instruments than bats or knives. It's math. Crazy x desperate x well armed = deaths.

But let's face it - you know that.

    You just don't care.

Because we lock up a lot of people we shouldn't. But what does that matter if we had a crack at this one and pissed it away?

Involuntary civil commitment, or you can fuck off with all of that.

I care that innocent people are victimized, but I won't have them shat on a second time over YOUR refusal to make the problematic individuals the entire focus of your solution.

of course you'd assess it as equal...
almost as certain as you'd add some unquantifiable condition at the end.

Is material value not self-explanatory? In that context you must support any contention that I take more than I give, just as an example.

If you have a more abstract, nebulous notion of "benefit" in mind, it is not mine to define.

You most certainly consume more than you put back when you consider the resources required to feed and cloth you. Those things don't just poof into existence. Then you have your brokedick jeep, and whatever you use to make @Jenee suck your cock. How many blowjobs have you given? Certainly there is a deficit there.

    material value like... what, exactly?

what makes you so special that you have any lesser obligations than the rest of us?

Getting back to the point at hand.. why don't you feel you should be required to lock up your guns... that's what this is about, after all. Well, that and your dog whistle racism.

Women 40% more likely to commit suicide if any adult in their household own guns. This keeps showing up - suicidal ideation is often a momentary thing, and having a gun in the house allows people to succeed much more easily. In the same vein suicides dropped 40% in the IDF when soldiers weren't allowed to take their firearms home.
