no, but that doesn't mean it's the only version I played. And actually, I think I played CS a LOOOONG time ago for a minute. But I didn't say that. That was like 5th grade before I was really into video games, or even computers at that.
Unless I misunderstand... What I am saying is that shooters at that time were coming into their own (as far as multiplayer) on home consoles. The first great game to hit the home was Goldeneye, it set a new standard for all (console) shooters that followed and few were able to duplicate. Of course now it seems dated and paltry compared to the shooters of today, but its greatness for its time is a point you can not argue. I won't listen if you try. That last bit was supposed to be a pseudo reference to the Hatori Hanzo speech in Kill Bill (1 or 2, can't remember), but I obviously mangled it into unrecognizability.
I wouldn't have eaten it, being that it was made of people and all. Take a close look at it, it does not look healthy. Plus the, "you will be baked and then there will be cake" statement is further evidence that people were a part of the recipe, though could be mistaken as an offer of marijuana before victory snacking.
Having played exactly zero first-person shooters on consoles, I'm in no position to argue. You could've pointed a neon sign reading "Hatori Hanzo speech in Kill Bill!" at it and I still wouldn't have recognized it
Hence the wink. Seriously, though, the dick waving over Halo of all things looks really, really silly.
It's all in good jest and competition. Please, it's not like we're getting pissed at each other or claiming our greatest achievements in life were speedrunning and video taping the halo 3 campaign.
Yeah, we are still at the intermediate level of Nerds & Geeks. We would still probably laugh at anyone with so little to do that they would tape themselves speedrunning the campaign.
I was bored yesterday so I beat the campaign. Ending was teh suck, and I thought that the platforms in the last driving segment didn't look quite like they fit with the rest of the scenery, IMO. Then again I've never really spent much time in half finished worlds. Fucking monitor. I'm a forerunner? Arbie rules. Started playing it again on Heroic this time and realized I'm not that good at Halo. Still I played through on Normal and it was never really difficult, so I wonder how easy, 'Easy' would be.
lol. I got it on the tuesday it came out and beat the first 2 levels. Friday I played split screen and another friend joined and we beat legendary. it's not hard co-op
For Co-Op my options are severely limited. I have my girlfriend and... yeah my girlfriend. She doesn't do shooters. She can whomp me at DOA4, but couldn't shoot the broadside of a ring planet in any shooter.
Actually, capture will record campaign, but only one level at a time. I can simply hook the XBox up to my HDD-DVD recorder as AV2, fortunately. Been trying out the scoring metagame on campaign. Annoyingly died by snipers a couple of times on Sierra-117 that slowed me down enough to lose the 1.5x time bonus, otherwise I'd have gotten the achievement. Other option is to bung another skull into the mix - I was already using the Tough Luck skull (enemies dodge grenades/needles/vehicles better) and didn't have too much trouble (since I use grenades for weakening/area clearance rather than direct kills anyway) - so I figure I could add in the Famine skull (spawned/dropped weapons are at half normal ammo)... That'd put the multiplier up to 5.5x together with Heroic difficulty so I could likely get the achievement even without the time bonus...
Yeah, but without a bit more info I wasn't certain how much that would increase my chances of dying (for which you lose points and time). Whereas I'm confident my scavenging skills will compensate for the lower amounts of ammo available.
Got the achievement for the first mission - used the Famine, Tough Luck and Fog skulls. Tried getting hold of the Catch skull but I suck at grenade jumping and I can't successfully park a Warthog there to give me a launch platform with the muthaf**king Wraith firing at me (both Wraiths must be alive or the skull disappears). Almost made it to 15,000 with just the Tough Luck and Famine skulls, but died a couple of times too many. Plus I should really have melee'd a few more grunts.
It was just a suggestion- I don't even have a clue where to get any of the skulls except Blind. Edit: Not to mention, I thought you had to carry the skull throughout the level so when I found it I was constantly carrying it and swapping for a weapon in battles making sure I threw it down somewhere I could spot it to recover it. Found out you only need to pick them up and... well I felt stupid.
yeah...I know where all of em are, but my disc has laserburn, and my parents still believe in grounding.
