We have a constitution. Only someone who is intellectualy limited assumes that a constitution is something that must be enshrined in a single document. Since the government of the day sits in Parliament, and the royal preogative to wage war without a Parlaimentary vote is excercised through the government, exactly how is this going to happen? Where is the monarch's support going to come from? Are the public, police and military going to be lining up to flush democracy down the toilet in favour of an absolute monarchy? Ooooookaaaaay. It is within her reserve powers. If she were to give that order, it would technically be treason for the military commanders not to carry out her orders, even without consent of Parliament. I watched me some TV news last night. Nonstop campaign ads. Lots of class warfare in them too. The double irony was that most of the attack ads made me want to vote for the opponent. "Paul Freem wants to privatize Social Security. And he thinks minimum wage is too high. Do we really want Paul Freem running our state?" Damn skippy I do!
