The more I think about it the more I like it. Although I don't love it. I liked the fact that the sideways verse was not what it first apeared to me - a simple alternate reality - and I liked that they played it so peolpe were remembered much more than we the viewer had seen eg Hurley and Ben's time as the new Jacob and Richard. That said, the demise of smokie was underwhelming and his purpose/role was never really made clear - a mystery I think they coudl have resolved (unlike the true nature of the 'light' say). Also, it was totally unclear how the sideways-verse/limbo came to be created. One throwaway line about how they made it for themselves... I'm not expecting the blueprints but I think we need a little more than that.
