I agree, to an extent. Hindsight is always 20/20. However, after 9/11, it turned out there were files on most, if not all, of the hijackers. If there was a suspicion that an attack was imminent, people like that should have been under heightened supervision, or at the very least, their names should have at least been on a watch list, and five of them on the same flight should have raised a huge red flag. But like I already said, hindsight is 20/20.

Yeah, I know. It's unfortunate that it took thousands of deaths for the government to step in and tell them to grow up. You can pin that one on Clinton as well, but that doesn't mean Bush didn't drop the ball himself.

And we know now that the CIA briefed Rice and Ashcroft (although they lied about it and denyed it at first) about the threat in June 2001 and they did NOTHING. Repeat, the National Security Advisor did NOTHING. So was she simply incompetent or did she want the hijackings to occur? There are no other possible answers to that question.

It's extremely simplistic to assume that there are only "liars" or truthtellers." This is the real world, not a logic class. Honestly, if you've got a case to make, do it. Start a thread. Present all your evidence. Provide all the links neccessary. Have rebuttals and additional links ready for when people try poking holes in your claims. Do you remember every meeting you take months or years later? Do you remember the specifics spoke of at every meeting? We underestimated AQ. It wasn't malice, it wasn't derelicition of duty, they sucker punched us because we thought they weren't able to do it. It happens. You learn the lesson and move on.

Institute a Patriot Actesque crackdown, the same type of crackdown that people like you bitched and moaned about after the adminstration instituted it post 9/11, across the country?
