Y'know, I did a little research to refute one of the symptoms of BDS--that Dubya is apparently some sort of moron. While his IQ is not public knowledge, I did find a 2001 article in the St. Cloud MN newspaper that extrapolated his IQ to around 119--the same as JFK.

IQ is often overrated. The ability to answer IQ test questions in a test isn't a great deal of use when you are a politition. Especialy one who isn't good at speaking, is often confused, doesn't seem to understand issues in anything but a simple sense and isn't very diplomatic.

Oh, I agree. That article pointed out that Al Gore apparently has an IQ of around 135. And I wouldn't trust him to be the assistant night manager at a Burger King.

Anyone who thinks that Bush and his buddies didn't recognize that a golden opportunity was just dropped in their laps has their heads stuck in the sand like good ostriches. Dubya had a hard-on to attack Iraq even before he was (s)elected president, and 9/11 was a wet-dream come true. All he had to do was toss out the words "terrorism" and "WMD's" and the country drank it up like Kool-Aid. The U.S. was going to find a way to attack Iraq no matter what. The hijacking's just made it a hell of a lot easier for them to get away with it.

Gore did beat him, but the Supreme Court said Florida wasn't allowed to actually count the votes. The newspapers did count the votes by hand and they said that by any measure, Gore had more votes than Bush.
Which is why Bush intentionally ignored the PDB and other reports that hijackings were being planned by al-Qaeda. He wanted them to happen.
