I don't care about who bans who etc.etc. But IMO any adult wanting to "beat somebody in a physical confrontation" or uses size to intimidate (unless they engaged in a sporting event) is pathetic and immature. Bottom line if you aren't in a ring/cage with a referee and another fighter,

I agree, if you have to resort to your physical power in an intellectual debate you have lost big time. I would not say wrong because that person could just be really stupid and not able to make their point even though they are right.

It is funny. I would always do a meetup with somebody even if I fight with them online. I am not talking about going to someone's home because that has certain problems with it, but I have met a couple of people I have fought with at conventions. Just because you argue does not mean that you stop respecting the social contract regarding abuse or harm. Even if I really hate your point of view in public places we do not have to impose on each other because there is a lot of space. It takes a lot to get me to the point where I would attack a person physically. My time as a paintball referee taught me a lot about being calm and depressurizing a physical situation.

When I was a kid I was weak and scared of people. I got my ass kicked a number of times by bullies. Thankfully I learned from the roughnecks at the field how to be a firm person that enraged or bullying people passively avoid because they think the conflict would take a good chunk out of them. This is how I realized there really is a behavior pattern of the victim of bullying. I know people say it is wrong to blame the victim, but the victims stand out from the rest due to the way they behave.

That makes sense. Showing up on someone would be a real bad thing for him. If you come to someone's house from threatening them from the internet you have pretty much shown intent to harm according to the police. He can claim he wasn't going to hurt anyone all he wants, but they are not going to go for that. It is one thing to be a wack job, and another to be a stalker.

I've always hated the "the victim has no responsibility" idea that is pushed.

If someone carelessly puts themselves into a dangerous situation and is victimized, yes, the victim bears some responsibility for putting themselves in that situation.

There are behaviors that put you in danger. Though it is wrong that people break the law, it is inevitable that they will break them. If you do not want to be the victim you can drastically lower your chances of being a victim by doing some things differently. Then there are those people who actually look to be abused. I have actually noticed there is a Omega personality type that is sort of the dumbass of a group. When I was younger and noticed this I actually tried to lift that person up instead of picking on them and all of a sudden I was the bad guy. Even the guy who was mercilessly getting punched all the time did not like me for doing that. I ruined his place in the group.

So now WF has banished it's #1 villain, a master troll who has perfected the art of trolling just by his very presence, irrespective of whatever he says. The level of hysteria over Dayton is comical. Almost as comical as T'Bonz coming here every few months to see if we've finally forgotten that she's the ringmaster for one of the worst, most dysfunctional websites in existence. Now I see why you guys do not worry about me, some of you have done this shit too. Not that dayton was all that quiet about his identity which was dumb on his part. He certainly played the victim very well. sort of like the woman up in KY. I think some of the people who may have been judging me might want to look at themselves also. This all sounds a lot like some of the fucked up shit I have done.

Most of us have pulled a few trolls, @Tererun. It's why we roll our eyes when someone proclaims themselves 'Master trolls'.

You see, the thing about Dayton, and John Castle before him, is people like him like to think they're on top of the rest. Smarter than the rest. The best way to troll those kinds of people is to manipulate them into falling on their own sword...and doing so within the rules. In essense, just waht they, or at least Dayton, thought they were skilled enough to do. I don't know who pulled the contacting his school trick, but it wasn't me, despite having been accused of it in the past (as have others). To me, with people like Dayton it just isn't necessary. Idiots will trip themselves up with the help of a little bit of poking.

How do you even know someone contacted Dayton's school? He is the paranoid sort who sees specters of his enemies everywhere. There were a few victims of mine who associated all sorts of things to me that I had never done. They were stupid like him, and they fucked things up in their own lives. It is one of the ways people get themselves for me. Dayton doesn't seem all that perceptive.

Someone apparently contacted his Principal/Headmaster. By what means I'm not sure. It's worth pointing out that he's on about 10-15 forums and banned from at least four, so it possibly wasn't someone here anyway.

Whoever contacted the school did so with information from a thread on Wordforge in which I had labelled Dayton a supporter of terrorism (he was IIRC defending both the bombing of Cuban passenger planes and the use of Palestinian kids as human sheilds).
Since I was involved in the thread he initially blamed me, before backing down somewhat. Although he has on occasion repeated the accusation, using it as another "weapon", conditional on how mean I'm being to him and his views.

That is the thing, you are getting this information from him I assume. Is there a newspaper article about this, or something that backs up what he says happened. I understand given the way he pisses people off that it is likely that someone might have called his school, but no one is taking credit for it? He is a fucking wack job, and that means he may have done it to himself, or it may not exist at all.

Ya, I've often wondered about that too. How do we know anyone contacted his boss at all? Do we have an source for this besides Dayton himself?

Maybe the boss simply opted to do a Google search on various employees, turned up Dayton's post, and was sufficiently disturbed by it to draw Dayton aside for a little talk about it. Period.

Dayton strikes me as the paranoid type who probably wouldn't accept that this could have occurred innocently, but must have been done to him, by someone involved in the post in question, and this would then lead to him leveling baseless accusations.

Or the whole thing might be nothing more than a total fabrication, designed to make it look like he's the innocent victim of our evil godless machinations.

ETA: I remember Dayton making accusations about this at TrekBBS as well, involving posters there. I know there's some overlap between both boards, so he may have been directing his accusations at the same individuals he was accusing here. Then again, he may have leveled similar accusations at random individuals on virtually all the other boards he frequented as well.

This place is the monkey house at the zoo...a bunch of screaming chimps slinging poo at each other...and deserves no further consideration than that.

It really does explain why I was having trouble placing dayton in the troll category. with all the trolls around here the sweet smell of trollbait must have been all sucked up before I came. (To put it in a figurative sense) I was wondering if there was bait on this board, and I think I see you playing with it. I am going to stand back from this one a bit and observe. The last time I went in on trollbait I ate it all up, and it did not sit well with me.
