They're too incidental for me to care about them anymore; they're only excess characters now. Maya just went home. She wasn't even important enough to kill off and will someone FUCKING KILL STUPID MOHINDER THE LIZARD FLY? He's useless. What's the point? His character takes up space. He uses up oxygen that Nathan and Tracy are going to need when they get to Pineheart to kick Arthur's ass. Ahhhhhh, Nathan. I do love you when they actually let you do anything. I have to be careful how I say this because this is not the red room....but your heroes threads seam to me to be essentially just "indulge me while I bitch and moan" Seriously, MR, have you considered, ya know, just not watching the damned thing? I turned on "Knight Rider" >> I watched about 4 minutes >> I said to myself "This is utter shit" >> i watched something else. No. Baba is spamming and should be banned. Unfortunately the owner won't ban himself. When it comes to individual episodes however it is not spamming. You may not like the content of her posts but each one deals with a separate episode.
I had the same reaction with the plane scene. It was like "WTF? Are you totally stupid?" So I thought about it and here's the only reasoning I can come up with.... Claire and Elle are in California. Company2.0 is in New York. Elle's power is getting progressively worse, Claire is impatient as hell and wants answers. They simply don't have time for the Hiro/Ando Season1 road trip. They have to fly. Of course, I'm not sure how much longer it would have taken to go by train. Maybe someone else can look that up.
I understand that...and agree (not that it's turning to shit but that it's worthy of a thread to state that view). But do you need to restate that view with each new episode is what I'm asking? At the least, why not just bump the last "it's turning to shit" thread?
My point was not accusing her of spam, but to suggest that saying "this show is unmitigated shit now!" with every new episode begs the question "If it's shit, why are you watching it?"

Whatever happened to the idea that Meredith was supposed to be safeguarding the Bennets? Especially when it's pretty irrational petulance. She's upset at her dad because he tried to get rid of the uberpowered serial killer who cut her head open and traumatized her? Yeah, not the warm brotherly reunion it could or should have been. Or even the "Don't let Dad touch you because he seems to swipe powers permanently by touch" bit of friendly advice. And why could Tracy tell that Nathan was just shining Pete on, but Pete, who has known him a heckuva lot longer, apparently bought Nathan's act? Really, the writers are putting themselves into a corner. Arthur now has the following abilities: power siphoning (base power); super-healing and immortality (from Adam); super disease spreading (from Maya); power duplication, invisibility, lightning, radiation, time travel/stoppage, super strength, intangibility, mind reading/manipulation, etc. (from Peter); potentially super-fixing, super-hearing, telekinesis, super-learning, metal melting, super-freezing (from using Peter's ability on Sylar); and super-strength through fear, flamethrowing, super-speed and Mohinder's fly ability (through using Peter's ability on the rest of the villains). It would be really hard to realistically stop him. I did like the potential catfight between Meredith (fire) and Tracy (ice). I'm surprised you're invested in Tracy so soon. Why?
Nathan is a politician. Tracy is a political employee. Selling bullshit to non-politicians and spotting bullshit is a breeze for them. I think it's more of a Grim Reaper thing then it is a disease. If she had ever learned to control it she could have been a villain and called herself "The Reaper". Throw in some bikini evil looking costumes and..... ....wait I'm sorry...got distracted there...... she could be a mean villain.
So...having finally seen the episode, the big complaint here is....the 18 year old girls made a poorly thought out choice? Please! This is unusual? Ever seen a Girls Gone Wild ad?
I think the larger complaint is that nobody on a crowded airplane saw a girl who was lit up like a Christmas tree.
There's a big difference between chicks getting liquored up and making silly videos and sober girls who have wrestled with death and serious matters not thinking through that if Elle's powers fail a) people will be likely to see something they want to keep secret still b) innocent people could be hurt or killed by Elle's discharge and c) Elle could bring the plane down, killing everyone aboard but Claire (and maybe even her).
Meh. I just don't think it's natural to assume that a real person in a stressful situation should be expected to automatically pick the rational course that seems obvious to an outside observer, and more especially so with the younger set.
Wow. That was awful. Most of the episodes in s3 have been. Does someone know what happened to the writing staff on this show? Did they go through some radical changes? For the vast majority of characters, I currently have NO idea why they're doing what they're doing, and yet most of them act as if they are doing the one obvious thing that will save the world -- such as risking everything and everyone in order to pick up a serial killer's addictive power because it might somehow come useful when you're facing an unknown threat at some unknown point in the future, to name just one striking example. And if the main plot element here is all about superpowers, then why is one of the current plot lines about a character lying to a mind-reader, another about super-hearing Sylar not knowing what HRG said to wormhole man 30 ft off, and yet another about a character promising to take down the evil lair filled with super-powered evil guys on his own because he can... fly?
