That's not the legal argument. The legal argument is that it's not in the purview of the federal government. Where in the decision does it say "we're taking this acton because we believe life begins at conception"? I'll wait.
and what motivated that decision/excuse? I'm not going to wait, because I don't really expect an honest answer.
No, I'm not. You're assigning your own reasoning because you know it's something the federal government has no business being involved in. You're acting emotionally.
What motivated it? The case before them. You can assign whatever reasoning you choose, but you lose on a Constitutional basis. Game over.
clearly the game isn't over if the law has been changed. Obviously it can be changed back under a new court. and yes, gaslight away that it isn't a religiously influenced decision... It's not my country that's rapidly sliding into christo-fascism.
If you believe a cluster of cells is a baby, you are the one acting emotionally. This is not a states rights issue. It does not belong with the states for the states to decide. We are one country and EVERYone’s rights are established at the federal level, not the states.
Abortion isn't a federal right whether you like it or not. Which country are you fleeing to, by the way?
If you think this is about abortion, again, you’re acting emotionally. And EVERYONE’S rights are established at the federal level. Even women’s .
In my view a woman's rights end when the safety of her unborn child is at risk. But...states will now make that determination. So let it be done.
You're either a troll, or a nasty piece of human excrement. Either way, it doesn't matter because you should probably just fuck the fuck off.
Distinction then. If you can’t get past semantics, you have no business putting your nose in this discussion.
so you believe that a state (not even THE state, but a second tier administration) has the ability to take away individual body autonomy? one more reason no to take you as anything more than a tackle dummy for creative insults.
Gotta be a legal argument for harvesting the organs of folk like TLS in favour of more important people, since he thinks there's a priority argument when it comes to rights and bodily autonomy. Not sure which organs would actually be worth keeping though. Kidneys and liver obviously aren't filtering out the toxic stuff properly. Spleen keeps venting. No backbone detected. Brains (such as they are) in the anal region. Chin absent, presumed missing. Genitalia, small and inoffensive.
so here we have the GOvernor of Arizona proudly proclaiming that the state is cherishing and protecting life. But the science has clearly shown that for the first four months, a zygote is not an independent life-let alone a viable one. seems like feelings and faith are overriding facts, non?
I believe it's up to the citizens of each state to decide. Why? Because that's our system and I belive it generally works very well. That's the logical/Constitutional side of it. As far as bodily autonomy, I believe in it until a woman is carrying a living human being inside of her. I can see the reasoning behind certain exceptions, but I don't feel good about the death of any child. Further, if a woman decides to kill off her child as a matter of convenience, I'd not shed a tear if she also died in the process. And honestly, I don't give a f--- what you losers think, lol.
so you're a good little statist and in appropriate company, as I doubt anyone here gives a flying fuck what you think either. Like I said, just a tackle dummy for the RL imbeciles one encounters that are like you.
I find it funny whenever I see the words “pro-life” my brain automatically substitutes “forced birth.”
Yeah, leaving it up to the people of each state to govern themselves means I'm a statist. Gotcha! Try again, Sherlock.
well, you seem to be celebrating personal medical choices being subject to legal barriers, so yeah... statist. also, public opinion seems to be against this ruling and generally pro choice, which'd support the original hypothesis that maybe SCotUS needs rethinking as it's no longer doing what it was supposed to. You got nothing, Gadget.
