Your comparison to woman who shot at the dog and killed her husband was dumb. These two cases have nothing in common.

Sure they do. Both were victims of a shooting and neither would have been saved if they'd had a gun.

No they don't in any real sense. One is a case of extreme gun negligence that led to a death. The other is a question of whether having a gun would have been of value in a specific case. The circumstances of each case are very different even from just the victims side. You should have just argued this case instead of trying for a comparison that gained you nothing.

What is being said and has been shown throughout history that when the shit hits the fan the ones who by choice or by bad luck are not armed to protect themselves will be the victims by those who are armed and are scum.

That is reality. In a modern day apocalypse, pandemic or asteroid hit wiping out society for example, you will be at the mercy of the scumbags who are armed and are willing to steal from you and kill you in the process.
